Love As Fabulous As A Killjoy
The Call
All I can do is stare at my phone hoping he’ll call or text me. I pace back and forth in my room wondering if I freaked him out that he won’t talk to me. Sighing I walk over to my mirror, look at it then grab my Expo marker and write in big letters ‘THIS MIRROR ISNT BIG ENOUGH FOR THE TWO OF US’. I smile then pick up my guitar and start to strum some cords. Before I know it I’m jumping around, dancing, and sort of singing. When I play guitar I get really into it, music is my medicine. When I finished messing around for a while I sit back and wipe the sweat off of my forehead then I hear it, my phone starts to ring. I stare at it for a good few moments then I pick it up.
“Hello?” I say first.
“Hey Frank! It’s Gerard.” He says with too much energy for me to handle at the moment.
“What’s up?”
“Well… currently the ceiling.”
“Thank you , smartass that’s not what I meant.” I roll my eyes.
“Haha, I know. Uh… well nothing much actually. I found your number and wanted to call you to see if you wanted to hang out Saturday.”
“Hm… I have nothing better to do, so sure. Where and time?”
“My house and whenever you can get your ass here,” He gives me his address and it turns out he doesn’t live that far.
“Alright. Anything I should bring?”
“Your guitar.”
“Sounds good.”
“Later Frank,” And with that he hangs up. I look over at my clock to see what time it was, it’s only 8:30 pm. I decide to start some homework, which I know I might end up not doing, but it’s worth a shot. Picking up my satchel I look in one of the pockets to find a pen, instead I see a comic book. It’s not mine; I open it up to see a note inside. It falls to the ground I pick up and open it.‘Saw you like comics and this is all I had at the moment. Check it out.
Yeah we are defiantly going to be friends for a long time; I can tell already.
