Gerard’s POV
Helena didn’t turn up to morning reg, all morning I was worrying about her.
What if she was hurt, what if something worse happened?
However she turned up to afternoon reg with 3 bags which I was a bit confused about. Why would she have so many bags?
I was walking over to her when I heard the end of Heidi and Helena’s conversation…
“what kind of mother does that?!” Heidi said
Then Helena muttered something that Heidi obviously didn’t hear
“What kind of step-dad does that”
I had heard enough I needed to know what was going on. Why did she mention her step-dad?
“Helena, can I have a word?” It came out angry but I was just frustrated. She looked scared and I didn’t want that.

I took her into the room opposite my classroom which Is always empty and sat down, she followed suit.
“Why did you mention your Step-dad?”
She obviously didn’t want to talk to me, I noticed that straight away by her body language.
“I got kicked out of my house” she said, short and snappy.
“By your mum and step-dad? Anything else happen, that you’re step-dad had to do with?
She looked at me like she was about to cry but in a flash it turned to anger
“Stay out of my fucking business and leave me alone, you don’t know shit. Nothing happened alright!”
With that she stormed out.
I walked back into class, they were all getting along quietly and Helena was just sitting there glaring at the wall.
She briefly looked at me, and gave me the best death glare I have ever seen and looked back at her spot on the wall.
Helena’s POV
*End of school*
“Hey heids? Could I maybe stay with you for a couple of days? Just until I find a place”
She looked at me with sympathy.
“you know I would love you Hel, but my house is full, I'm sharing a room with my 3 cousins as it is, sorry hun”
I looked down for a brief second willing myself not to cry
“it’s okay Heids, I understand”
She pulled me into a half hug
“Maybe Callum could? Or your new friend Mikey?
“yeah maybe”
Truthfully I couldn't stay with Mikey and Callum’s dad hates me because I got Callum suspended so that’s out of the question as well.
I guess it’s a night on the streets for me.
