"Gerard, why's Mikey here?" Gerard yawned as he shoved his little brother lightly to get him up "Mikey gets nightmares, Harry. He likes to cuddle up to me" the redhead explained, noticing in the mirror his black roots were beginning to come through "fuck, need to ask Mom to send some red dye" he muttered "Mikey, get up" Mikey mumbled something about him not being their mother.

"Michael James Way, get up!" Gerard grabbed his brother's foot and yanked him out of his bed "Gee!" "We're gonna be late for breakfast, Mikey" Mikey flipped him the middle finger as he got off the floor and got his black/yellow Hufflepuff robes on "I look like an idiot" he grumbled "haha, wonder how Frank's gonna be" Gerard said, worried about the youngest of them. Frank was the one who was often bullied due to his short stature, slight shyness and hyperactivity.

"Morning" Frank plonked himself by Gerard much to the shock of the Gryffindor's next to the redhead "hey, sleep alright?" He asked "yeah, Slytherin's not as bad as people make it to be. There's some pretty cool dudes in my year" Frank brightly grinned, Gerard had to smile "you'd best get to your table so Snape can give you your schedule" Harry said "okay, see you guys in a minute" Frank bounded off and Gerard had to laugh "is he...?" "Yeah, he's always hyper" Mikey said as he and Ray joined them with their own schedules "what classes we got?" Ray asked.

McGonagall gave Gerard his schedule "we got Charms together, Ray" Gerard said "what's Defense gonna be like?" Gerard wondered aloud "bad if that woman's teaching" Harry said, Gerard gestured to the staff table with his thumb "what, the Toad in too much pastel pink?" He bluntly said "that's a...unique...observation" Hermione said as Dean and Neville broke down in laughter with Seamus as well "yeah, got me into a lotta trouble back home" Gerard shrugged as Frank came back "hey, wish we were in some classes together" he sadly looked at his older friends.

"Frankie, it's because you're eleven. Me an' Ray're fifteen and Mikey's twelve" Gerard said "hey, you'll see us at break, lunch and dinner as well as after school finishes" Ray said, the Ravenclaw reassuring the young Slytherin. Frank gave a bright smile at his surrogate brothers.

Gerard, Harry, Hermione and Draco walked up to Defense "hey, you want to sit next to me?" Harry asked "sure, why not?" Gerard shrugged, Harry and Gerard sat at a desk near the front and Hermione sat behind them with Draco "good morning children" Gerard rolled his eyes "does she think we're preschoolers?" He thought to himself, he looked at the cover of the book he'd been given for his lesson "the hell? I got this when I was four!" He grumbled "excuse me, Mr Way?" "I said I had this when I was four motherfucking years old, Toadface!"

The silence in the classroom was one of respect from the Gryffindor's and Slytherin's alike, not one student had dared to speak to a teacher the way Gerard just had "excuse me again, Mr Way!" Gerard sat back with his arms folded and an unrepentant smirk plastered across his face "you heard me loud and clear, that's what preschoolers in America have" he smugly said, chuckling mentally at the thought of Mikey's reaction to what he'd just gone and done.

Mikey would have thrown something heavy at his brother for his mouth, but would have more than likely laughed at Umbridge's reaction and the colour of her face. It was almost as red as Gerard's hair with anger "DETENTION, MR WAY!" Gerard flipped her the middle finger and said "fuck you" with another smirk at her, he wasn't even the least bit bothered "GET TO PROFESSOR MCGONAGALL!" Gerard took the note, grabbed his bag and walked out with another middle finger to Umbridge.

"Mr Way, may I ask why you were sent to me?" Professor McGonagall asked as the extreme redhead walked into her office "I might've expressed my personal opinion about the book we were assigned to class and in not so many...polite...words, Professor" with McGonagall, he was polite as she was a teacher he respected "I'm not going to ask what you said, Mr Way. But I will oversee your detentions and not Professor Umbridge" she said, a proud smile on her face at what Gerard had done. She'd heard about his attitude towards those in power and abused that.

Notes

I had a ball doing this chapter, I figured what Gerard would do if he had to put up woth Umbridge and I figured he's just be himself like he was in Sing and NaNaNa as well.

Also, what specialty should the boys have with magic? I need some ideas with their personalities as well, I know Gee's an artist (he's the same in this), but with magic I need some help with it.
