Gerard’s POV
I woke up and I was alone in bed which made me sigh as I rolled over and saw a note from Frank saying he was out with the lads and that I should enjoy relaxing with whoever was left in the house. This made me smile as I rolled out of bed and had a quick shower before I went downstairs.
Everyone was out part from one of the girls.
I cleared my throat so I didn’t make her jump and she turned around and smiled which I returned as I looked down.
“Morning Gerard.” She said as I walked into the kitchen.
“Morning, where is everyone?” I asked and the woman put a mug of coffee in front of me and I smiled a thanks at her.
“The lads have gone paint balling and everyone else has gone for a walk, hopefully it’ll tire the kids out though.” The woman said and I chuckled quietly.
“Excuse me if this is going to sound rude, but I have no clue what your name is.” I said and the woman chuckled.
“It’s not being rude, Frank has always been shit at introducing people. I’m Jasey, I’m Ollie’s wife.” Jasey said and I smiled.
“Frank has been worried about you.” Jasey said and I looked down.
“There’s nothing to worry about me.” I said quietly.
“Frank isn’t the sort of person who brings someone along with him to these sort of things, he’s a very private man. I was shocked when Ollie said he had found someone. When Frank is with someone he’s a very loving person but he’s also very protective over them, he worries a lot about you.” Jasey said and I looked at her.
“You telling me that I’ve thrown myself into the deep end with him? If that’s the case then I’ve been with someone who was awful towards me, I like the fact Frank is protective over me, I love the fact that if I was in trouble then Frank has got my back and it’s the same for Frank. I think we all are private people, it’s just finding the right person who you can trust with even your deepest of secrets.” I said and Jasey smiled at me.
“You’re a very wise young mind.” Jasey said and I just rolled my eyes.
“I would say I could be more mature than most kids my age but most of them didn’t have to put up with the stuff I’ve had to put up with for the last 4 years.” I said and Jasey frowned at me.
“Before Frank things was hell, I had no family and no friends. This girl found me and took me in and looked after me until some drama happened and that’s how I moved in with Frank.” I said and Jasey smiled at me.
“Sounds like you’ve grown up pretty fast.” Jasey said and I nodded as I looked down.
“Do you know if Frank left his keys? I need to get something from the car.” I said and Jasey nodded as she stood up and got Frank’s keys and handed them to me.
“If you need some peace and quiet then you can go to my office.” Jasey said and I smiled at her.
“Thank you.” I said quietly and went to Franks car and took my medication and got my book I was reading and went hiding in Jasey’s office.
“He’s in my office.” I heard Jasey say loudly and someone walking into the office.
“So this is where you hide?” Frank chuckled and I looked up at him and smiled slightly which made Frank frown.
“Baby what’s the matter?” Frank asked seriously.
“Nothing, I was just late taking my medication this morning. It’s nothing too serious.” I said and Frank nodded not sure about it but he let it slide as he walked over and sat on my lap and looked at what I was doing.
“You’ve been drawing.” Frank said as he lent forward and looked at the picture.
“My heads all over the place today, I don’t know why though.” I said quietly and Frank looked at me and he kissed me softly which I returned.
“Maybe your meds aren’t working.” Frank said and I just shrugged my shoulders.
“God knows, I haven’t really had my depressive episode yet after being manic for 3 months so it’s bound to hit me soon.” I said and Frank smiled and kissed me again.
“I might have to go away for a week for training in the next couple of weeks.” Frank said and I smiled.
“That’s okay. I’m sure I can cope on my own.” I said and Frank chuckled.
“Come on, I’m hungry and I ache like a bitch. Could do with a back massage.” Frank said with a slight smirk on his face.
“What was that you said to me last night, oh yeah, the answer is no to sex since you cock blocked me last night I’m cock blocking you today.” I said and Frank pouted at me and I chuckled.
“Not today babe.” I said as I kissed him and Frank got off me and he walked out the room like a child which made me roll my eyes.
“Why does Frank have a massive pout on his face?” Ollie asked as he lent the door frame and I looked at him.
“He’s been cock blocked.” I said bluntly and Ollie chuckled.
“Poor Frankie.” Ollie chuckled and I walked over to him.
“Two can play the same game.” I said and Ollie rolled his eyes at me.

Me and Frank was at home since I wasn’t coping well but Frank just told people I wasn’t feeling well which I was glad about but I think Frank would rather be with the others than with me since my medication still wasn’t working and my brain decided that a manic episode was going to be a good idea.
“Gee, slow down. You’re talking to fast and I can’t understand you.” Frank said as he walked into the kitchen where I was smoking and drinking a beer.
“Do you ever think about like the stars or something.” I said as I looked at Frank who looked very confused at me.
“I think about a lot of things.” Frank said.
“I feel like going for a walk, you going for a walk because that’s what I’m going to do.” I said as I walked off putting my beer on the table and walked through the house with the cigarette in my mouth.
“Gee, put your shoes on.” Frank said and I spun round and looked at him.
“Shooooes yes.” I said and rushed over to where my shoes was and put them on and I looked at Frank who just rolled his eyes at me.
“Actually no, don’t want to wear shoes. Pieces of shit.” I said as I pulled my shoes off and threw them across the room.
“Okay you don’t have to wear shoes. Still want to go for that walk?” Frank said and I nodded and smiled.
“Come on then crazy eyes, I’ll let you lead the way.” Frank said and I frowned at him when he called me crazy eyes.
“Baby you know I’m not meaning it to be nasty.” Frank said as he walked over and cupped my face and kissed me which I returned.
“I got somewhere to show you.” I said and caught hold of Franks hand and dragged him out the house and went to show him my spot.
We climbed up this hill and I found the spot where I would normally sit and I sat down and looked out to the view of the city to one side and on the other was the sound of the sea crashing against the cliffs.
I looked out towards the bridge and saw it lighting up the night sky which made me smile.
Frank sat next to me and I looked at him.
“How did you find this place? I thought I knew the area really well but I would never of found this.” Frank said and I smiled as I looked back out to the view.
“I was going to kill myself.” I said quietly as I looked at Frank again.
“Why?” Frank whispered and I looked down.
“I was a street kid, I had no friends, no family. I had to drop out of high school because I was high on drugs, I was selling myself for money and my mental health was so fucked that I didn’t know wether it was the drugs or bipolar in swing on most days. I went for a walk and I found this place.” I said as I stood up and looked at the cliff side and walked over to it.
“I was ready to jump when Johanna found me.” I whispered as I felt a arm round my waist and I put my hand over Franks hand.
“I gave up so much and I just wanted it all to end.” I whispered and I felt Frank kiss my cheek and I smiled as I looked down.
“You can still do the things you wanted to do.” Frank said and I turned round and looked at him.
“I can’t go to college, I dropped out of school when I was 14 after I got kicked out of my home. I have nothing behind me, the only thing I have behind me is a long list of trouble.” I said quietly,
“That doesn’t matter, you can do online school and get your grades then you can go to college if you wanted to go to college. Yeah you had a rough time but now you can start again. You can change everything which has happened to you.” Frank said and I smiled at him as I kissed him softly.
Frank caught hold of my hand and gently walked me away from the edge and we sat down on the grass and Frank moved so he was behind me and he gently pulled me into his chest and he wrapped his arms round my neck.
“What happened with you and your family?” Frank asked and I sighed loudly.
“They couldn’t cope with me being bipolar, they refused to get me the help that I needed and then one day they asked when I was going to bring a pretty girl home and that’s when I came as being gay. They threw me out because I was gay and mentally unstable.” I said quietly.
“It didn’t help because they was very religious, so yeah they found out I was gay and that I was the son of the devil and that god cannot save me.” I said sarcastically and Frank chuckled slightly.
“Stupid fucking people.” Frank said and I hummed in agreement.
“What about you, I know you have a brother who you are close too but what about your family.” I said as I turned round to face him.
“Believe it or not but I was the little shit of the family.” Frank said and I chuckled.
“I wouldn’t believe that for a second.” I said quietly.
“I was that bad, that my parents sent me to boarding school. Yeah it was shit at first but after a while school felt more like home than what my actual home did, it’s also how I met Ollie and the holidays was great, 3 months off for summer they was bliss.” Frank said and I couldn’t help but chuckle.
“What made you join the army?” I asked and Frank chuckled.
“I like routine and I needed the discipline as well. It was also a good way to see the world and have to make those spilt second choices because if you don’t that then it’s yours and others lives on the line. I guess I like working under pressure and the army gives me that.” Frank said and I smiled.
“How old was you when you joined?” I asked liking getting to know Frank.
“I joined as soon as I left school. I also joined because I wanted to show my parents I wasn’t that troubled child I guess. It worked, I’m like the hero child and Ive got the sun shining right out of my ass when I go home.” Frank said and I couldn’t help but laugh slightly.
Frank looked at me and there was something different in his eye and it just made my heart flutter.
“How about we go home, and we can relax and watch films since neither of us are going to be sleeping much tonight.” Frank said and I frowned at him.
“Why don’t you sleep? I swear you get like no more than 4 hours sleep at night and you don’t nap during the day. Oh are you like a super hero who survives no sleep.” I said letting my manic mind take over for a few seconds which made Frank chuckle.
“When you do the job I do, you see things which never leave you. Nights are the hardest time for me as it’s when most of the missions are done and trust me Gee there are some fucking awful things which go on in the world and I would never wish it on anyone.” Frank said and I smiled slightly at him.
“But I do like the whole super hero of no sleep.” Frank said and I moved closer to him and rest my head on his chest.
“You’ll always be a hero, with or without sleep.” I said quietly and Frank made me look at him and he kissed me.
