Gerard’s POV
I was busy sorting the new house out and was pretty much making it mine and Frank’s as Frank was passed out in bed after a really hard shift.
We managed to move the stuff we wanted to have into the new house and I was busy looking through the boxes when I found my art stuff which I haven’t seen since I got attacked and I thought Frank had gotten rid off all that stuff.
I sighed loudly as I pulled the sketchbook out and I looked at what I draped and I smiled to myself as the pictures I drew was Frank in his uniform.
I stood up and picked the box up and put it in the cupboard under the stairs and shut the door and hoped that one day I’ll be able to look at that sketchbook.
I was busy sat on the laptop looking for some stuff to make the place more like ours when I felt the sofa dip beside me and I looked up and saw Frank who was still half awake and half asleep.
“What are you doing?” Frank asked as he rested his head on my shoulder and I kissed the top of his head.
“At the moment I’m looking for a new coffee table.” I said and Frank chuckled softly.
“Have you sorted the boxes from the apartment yet?” Frank asked and I nodded.
“Well I haven’t touched your boxes, but I found the box with my stuff before the attack.” I said quietly and Frank moved so he could look at me.
“I know you told me to get rid of them but I didn’t have to heart to do so.” Frank said and I smiled as I lent forward and kissed him which Frank returned.
“It’s fine, they’ll just stay under the stairs until I can get myself to look at them again.” I said quietly and Frank smiled at me.
“I like this coffee table.” Frank said as he pointed to it and I smiled to myself as I did like the coffee table.
I looked at Frank for permission to buy it which made him chuckle as he kissed me.
“Buy whatever you want to make this home ours.” Frank said as he stood up and headed towards the kitchen and I got up and followed him and I hugged him from behind and I kissed his cheek.
“I’m worried about you.” I said quietly and Frank sighed quietly.
“You don’t have to worry about me baby, tough as old boots I am.” Frank said quietly and I gently spun him round and looked at him.
“But I do worry about you and I am worried about you.” I said and Frank smiled as he reached up and kissed me which I returned and Frank walked off.
“Frank don’t walk away from me.” I said as I caught hold of Frank’s hand which made him stop walking.
“I understand losing Ollie is hard for you to cope with right now and you also have to find your place in the firehouse but you don’t have to shut me out. You would be annoyed at me if I was doing this too you, please don’t shut me out Frank.” I said and Frank smiled as he put his shoes on.
“I’m going for a run.” Frank said and he turned round.
“Frank...” I said after him but he was out the door and shutting the door which made me sigh loudly as I went back to what I was doing and just waiting for Frank.
I was having a shower when someone walked into the house and then they came into the bathroom.
“Frank?” I said quietly and the shower curtain got pulled back and Frank was stood there with a cheeky grin on his face.
“Don’t fucking do that asshole.” I said as I threw the shampoo bottle at Frank’s chest which missed and flew across the room.
“I’m sorry baby.” Frank said as he got in the shower with me and moved me out the way so he could ha e a shower.
“You bloody know better as well.” I mumbled as I moved to get out the shower and Frank caught hold of my hand and pulled me back against his chest and he kissed my cheek as I just melted into his chest.
“Please talk to me.” I whispered and Frank sighed as he kissed my shoulder.
“Baby I’m fine okay.” Frank said and I turned round as I looked at him.
I sighed as I tried to look for anything which told me he wasn’t okay but I couldn’t find nothing wrong with him.
“Please don’t use army training on hiding your emotions.” I said and Frank chuckled softly as he kissed me which I returned.
“I wouldn’t hide my emotions from you baby. Everything I show you is all real.” Frank said softly and I smiled as I looked down which made Frank put a finger under my chin and making me look at him.
“I’ve told you not to worry about me.” Frank said softly.
“How can I not worry though Frank, your more quieter than normal, you seem lost.” I said and Frank pulled me close to him and he kissed me which I returned.
“Just have a lot on my mind at the moment.” Frank whispered and I kissed him again knowing where this was heading.
“Then fucking talk to me dumbass.” I said as I playfully smacked his chest which made Frank chuckle as he spun me round and pinned me against the wall.
“I’ll think about it.” Frank whispered as he moved to my neck and just distracted me from what we was talking about.
Mikey was round so I left Frank passed out on the sofa while me and Mikey enjoyed spending some time outside in the sun.
“I won’t even ask what you two got up to before I got here.” Mikey said and I chuckled quietly as I smoked a cigarette.
“Think its better if you don’t ask.” I said quietly and Mikey frowned at me.
“What’s wrong Gee?” Mikey asked seriously.
“Okay so I know I’m the weak one out of you and Frank and that I understand why more so Frank is more protective over me but I’m just worried about Frank. Like he lost his best friend and he was buried yesterday and he left the army to go and be a firefighter all without actually sitting back and thinking about everything. I don’t know maybe I’m just over thinking everything right now.” I said and Mikey chuckled slightly which made me look at him.
“Frank is a tough cookie, I’m sure you are just over thinking about everything.” Mikey said and I sighed.
“Maybe I am.” I said quietly.
“Or maybe it’s because he has new job and I knew in the army what I expected but now he has this job he could be coming to our home. He spends everyday running into danger and I guess I’m just worried that he’s going running into a building and never come out or that he is out of the building and he goes running back in because he’s a bloody dumbass that would do that sort of thing..” I rambled and Mikey just placed his hand over my mouth.
“And breathe.” Mikey said calmly as he moved his hand away.
“Okay you need to stop over thinking this whole situation and Frank wouldn’t do anything stupid because he loves your ass too much.” Mikey said and I just sighed.
“It’s getting cold out here guys.” I heard Frank say from the back door.
“I was just about to say, you look cute when you are passed out asleep.” Mikey said and I stood up and walked over to Frank and kissed him.
“And he is all mine.” I said as I looked at Frank he smiled at me which I returned.
“Christ you two make me sick.” Mikey muttered which made me and Frank chuckle.
“You want to stay for dinner?” Frank asked Mikey and he smiled.
“Well normally I would, but I have a hot date tonight so my ass is gonna get lucky tonight.” Mikey said with a cheeky grin on his face which made me roll my eyes.
“Right I’ll leave you two be then.” Mikey said and he walked off but Frank stopped him for me.
“Where you sleeping at the moment?” I asked and Mikey shrugged his shoulders.
“I’m sofa surfing at the moment.” Mikey said and I went to Franks office and I got the keys and went back to Mikey.
“Me and Frank have pretty much moved in here so the apartment isn’t being used. I mean Jase will move in when he’s out of rehab but that’s not for another 2 months and I can’t see why you two couldn’t be house mates.” I said as I gave Mikey the key.
Mikey smiled as he pulled me into a hug which I returned.
“Just don’t bring drugs into the house and don’t go trashing the place.” Frank said seriously and Mikey looked at him.
“You don’t have to worry about that dude, drugs are all in the past now.” Mikey said and Frank nodded and Mikey walked out the house and Frank looked at me.
“I don’t want him sofa surfing anymore.” I said quietly and Frank smiled at me which I returned and I went to the sitting room.
Frank decided he was going to treat me and take me out for dinner and after that we went for a walk to the park and we was currently just sat on the grass happily people watching and talking amongst ourselves.
“Maybe not now because we’re still making the home ours and you just starting your job and I need to get my shit together and get a job myself and then we have the wedding to think about.” I said and Frank chuckled as he looked at me.
“I love it when you ramble.” Frank said as he kissed me which I returned.
“How would you like to have a proper family with me?” I asked and Franks smile widen as he pushed me onto my back and kissed me hard which I returned.
“Yes I would love to start a family with you.” Frank said as he kissed me again which made me giggle.
“But we need sort the house and ourselves out first though.” I said and Frank nodded at me as he rolled onto his back and I moved so I was closer to him.
“Couldn’t of agreed more on that one.” Frank said quietly.

I heard Frank’s alarm go off which made the pair of us groan as I felt Frank roll over and probably hitting the snooze button before he rolled back over and cuddled into my back which made me sigh as Frank caught hold of my hand and he started to mess with my ring which made me smile.
“Why is getting out of bed so much harder when you’re in bed as well.” Frank said sleepily which made me chuckle as I rolled over to face him.
“Because I’m the best hot water bottle ever.” I said and Frank chuckled.
“You sure are.” Frank said quietly as he pushed me onto my back and he looked at the time and he sighed loudly.
“Don’t even have time to do anything.” Frank said which made me chuckle as I kissed him.
“Just think about what will happen after your shift.” I whispered as I kissed Frank again and Frank got off me and he headed towards the shower and I just sighed loudly as I got myself comfy and watched Frank get ready for work.
“I’m off.” Frank said as he walked over and kissed me which I returned.
“Be careful.” I said quietly.
“Always am Baby. Love you.” Frank said quietly which made me smile.
“Love you too.” I said quietly as I watched Frank walk out the room and I moved over to Frank’s side of the bed and went back to sleep.
“Come on you didn’t.” I said as I sat with Mikey in a cafe having a coffee and just enjoying Mikey’s rest and recovery period before he starts back in training again.
“My ass got lucky and I think I have a new love interest.” Mikey said and I chuckled as I rolled my eyes at him.
“So where is the fiancé of yours?” Mikey asked and I sighed.
“At work, saving life’s and running into fires.” I said and Mikey chuckled.
“So what have you got planned for yourself then? I mean you can’t sit around and do fuck all for the rest of your days because I know you Gee and I know it’ll drive you crazier than what you already are.” Mikey said.
“Gee Thanks Mikes.” I said and Mikey just raised a eyebrow at me.
“I dunno Mikes, I want to do something with my life than just stay at home and worry about Frank.” I said and Mikey smiled.
“I’ll think of something, I always do.” I said as I looked down.
“Hey I could always be a firefighter.” I said and Mikey laughed.
“Gee no offense, you would run away rather than run in. Think you’ll have to think of something where you don’t have to put your life in danger.” Mikey said and I smiled as this was true.
“So I think I said something crazy to Frank.” I said and Mikey frowned at me.
“You say crazy shit everyday.” Mikey said and I kicked him from under the table.
“I’m being serious here Mikey.” I said and Mikey sighed.
“Okay so what did you say to him then?” Mikey asked.
“I asked him if he wanted to have a family with me.” I said and Mikey raised a eyebrow at me.
“And what did he say?” Mikey asked.
“He said yes Mikes.” I said quietly and Mikey smiled at me.
“That is really good Gee.” Mikey said as he looked at his phone and sighed.
“I’ve got to go, be good and I’ll talk to you soon.” Mikey said and he stood up and walked off and I watched Mikey walk off and I finished my coffee and did the same.
My mood was really down after seeing Mikey and no matter how much cleaning or washing I did this mood wasn’t moving.
I also didn’t trust this mood and I knew if I spent anymore time on my own I would do something stupid so I just hoped I was allowed at the firehouse.
I walked in the fire house and noticed everyone was out probably on a call and I felt uneasy being here.
I walked into the firehouse more and I found the woman behind the desk.
“Can I help you?” The woman asked.
“Do you know when the guys will be back?” I asked quietly as I left myself Panic a little.
“No I don’t, I mean they’ve been out for a while now nobody knows what the fire is going to be like when they get the call.” The woman said and I nodded.
“Is it okay if I stay here until they get back?” I asked and the woman frowned at me slightly.
“I can’t be alone right now, I know they aren’t here but I know they will be soon and all that.” I said and the woman smiled as she chuckled softly.
“You can stay here, in fact I think the boys have just gotten back.” The woman said and I turned round and saw everyone walking in.
“What you doing here babe?” Frank asked as he walked over and stood by me.
I just looked at him and Frank knew and he caught hold of my hand and we went somewhere a bit more quieter.
“Everything okay?” Frank asked softly.
“I don’t trust myself at home.” I whispered and Frank pulled me into his side and kissed the side of my head.
“Have you taken your medication?” Frank asked and I nodded.
“Yeah, I’ve take my meds but it’s not doing nothing. I’m sorry I didn’t mean to come here but I didn’t know what to do.” I said quietly and Frank made me look at him.
“You did the right thing okay. I’m not mad that you are here because I know you are now safe and your aren’t going to do nothing stupid.” Frank said and I smiled slightly.
“I need to shower because I smell really bad, why don’t you go and see the guys.” Frank said and I nodded and got up and I went to walk off but Frank caught hold of my hand and pulled me back where I frowned at him but he kissed me which I returned as he hugged me which I returned.
Frank let me go and I could feel him watching me as I went to the common room.
“Hey Gerard.” Otis said as I gingerly walked into the common room.
“Hey.” I said quietly as I stood there awkwardly.
“Why you here then? Missing Frank too much.” Otis said and I shook my head.
“I have some problems and I didn’t want to be on my own.” I said quietly and Otis smiled at me which I returned.
“Hey Gerard.” Cory said as he walked past me and headed towards the kitchen area.
“You want a coffee Gerard?” Cory asked and I shook my head.
“No thanks, I’m just waiting for Frank.” I said and Cory smiled as he walked over.
“You can sit down Gerard, we don’t mind.” Cory said as he sat down and I gingerly walked over to the table and sat down.
“So what brings you to the firehouse then?” Otis asked as he sat opposite me.
“Bad thoughts.” I said quietly and Otis glanced at Cory who shook his head.
“Gee come with me a second.” Frank said from the door and I nodded as I stood up and walked over to Frank.
“Maybe I should go.” I whispered as I went to walk away but Frank caught hold of my hand which made me look at him.
“You’re not going anywhere, I think I have a job here for you.” Frank said which made me frown as I followed Frank to the Chiefs office.
Frank knocked on the door and the chief nodded and we walked into the office.
“Iero, what can I do for you?” The Chief asked.
“You’re looking for someone to do office work?” Frank asked and Chief nodded.
“Then I have found you the perfect guy.” Frank as he pushed me forward a little.
“Hear me out okay. Gerard is amazing with paperwork, I mean when I was away on tour and he wasn’t having his moments he knew how to handle my paperwork. Also anything he needs to learn he’s quick to pick up on.” Frank said and Chief frowned at me a little.
“Iero I don’t think Gerard is cut out for this.” Chief said.
“I am. Look I know I’m just Frank’s other half and I’m not considered as family here but just give me a chance. I need to do something now as being at home is boring the hell out of me.” I said and Chief nodded a little.
“He’s a hard worker Chief and he’ll fit in with us lot once he get a bit of confidence.” Frank said and Chief sighed loudly.
“Fine, Gerard you can help in the office.” Chief said and I was now very confused.
“You can start tomorrow.” Chief said and I nodded as I looked at Frank.
“I’m confused.” I said as we walked out the room.
“You have a job Gee.” Frank said and I nodded as Frank gave me a quick kiss as the bell went off again.
“Damn tonight is busy.” Frank said as he looked at me.
“Please be careful and don’t do nothing stupid.” I said quietly and Frank smiled as he kissed me and I watched him walk off.
“I love you.” I said and Frank turned round as he walked backwards.
“Love you too baby.” Frank said and I smiled as he jogged off and I watched the trucks drove off.
I was asleep on what I hoped was Frank’s bed when someone touched my arm which made me open my eyes and I smiled when I saw Frank.
“Roll over then.” Frank whispered and I moved over and rolled over as Frank got into bed and he cuddled into my back.
“”Hard night?” I mumbled and I felt Frank sigh as he kissed the back of my head.
“Yeah.” Frank sighed and with that I just let him sleep.
I stayed awake a little longer before I fell asleep again.
