What Grinds My Gears: Fanfiction Edition

M-Preg? Really?

I love all kinds of different stories. No matter how horrible a storyline is, I can appreciate how hard someone works on a story. It takes a lot of heart to start one and then finish it and I can't bring myself to directly criticize a person's writing. Sadly, there is one thing I cannot forgive that is strangely popular and I may get hate for it.

Male pregnancy stories.

Um, hello? Do you know anatomy? There are many things necessary to get pregnant, including a UTERUS. Men don't have one, so therefore, there would be nowhere for the baby to grow. Where is it gonna grow, in your stomach?

The only way I can forgive this is if the one getting pregnant is transgender and they haven't gone through the surgeries. I can understand the want for your ship to get together and have babies that look like them, but that is what surrogacy is for.

I don't have anything against odd stories. I've read The Milk Fic and The Hat Fic for crying out loud! But I don't like anything that completely defies all logic and anatomy.

And when they try to explain how a male can get pregnant, it is explained as a chromosome abnormality. Chromosome abnormalities can cause disorders and such, but it can't cause a man to grow a womb. That is all I have to say on this.

Notes

I have nothing against people who write these stories, I just hate them myself. If you want, you can give me an opinion on what you think about M-Preg stories.

I legit made an account on here just to applaud you for this. I came across it on Tumblr and after giving it a read I had to tell you that you are damn right. F*cking bang on.

@ShyanneJeanne
I try to make them all unique but sometimes I will resort to the cliches for a little push cx

@Originality-At-Its-Finest
Don't worry about it, I think we all are at one point or another
