Bloody Red Riding Hood

Part One

Once upon a time...or something like that, there was a small cottage in the woods. There lived an honest yet naive woodsman named Simon Oakfisk, his very capable wife Isolde, and their daughter Josselyn. Josselyn was known around the village they lived nearby as Red Riding Hood because of the red silk hooded cloak she wore all the time. She was otherwise beautiful with her long mahogany hair in large curls, porcelain skin, shimmering blue aquamarine eyes, and full pink lips. One day, her father called her and wanted her to go to her grandmother's house because she wasn't feeling well.
"Which grandmother?" Asked Josselyn.
Josselyn had two grandmothers. One that lives in the north side of the woods and the other in the south side of the woods.
Her father thought about it for a moment and then said, "Your grandma Louella. In the south side of the woods. She has a cold. Bring her a basket."
Louella was her mother's mother. She met her once when she was a small child and her parents brought her to the cottage to meet her. She remembered that she was a kind and sweet old lady. Josselyn smiled and headed straight into the kitchen.
She grabbed her carrying basket and packed it with medicine and goodies. Then she went upstairs and changed into a simple renaissance dress. She put on her red cloak, put on the hood and headed out the door.
She walked into the village and greeted everyone there. She passed by a shifty-looking man in an alley way. He watched her go, licked his lips, and after a few minutes, decided to follow her.
Unaware of her follower behind her, Red Riding Hood left the village and headed towards the bridge that leads to the forest.
In a bushel of bushes near the bridge, lived a small family of wolves. An older silver wolf and two younger wolves. One was big with black fur and the other was a little smaller with dark brown fur. They watched the bridge everyday and whoever walks across it becomes one of the wolves' prey.
These wolves were unique. They were actually men who can turn into wolves by will. The silver wolf was Donald, the younger brown wolf was Michael, and the black wolf was Gerard. They were all in their wolf forms as they watched the bridge.
The first passing by was a very corpulent man. Donald saw him and told his sons, "I'll get this one. He'll be enough for us tonight, but you're free to hunt for more if you like." With that, he leaves the bush to follow the fat man.
Minutes later, a candlestick maker passed along the bridge. Michael turned to his older brother, "I'll take this one. He looks too weak to outrun me." Gerard nodded and Micheal slinked out of the bush to follow him.
Gerard watched the bridge and then he saw Red Riding Hood. He was struck by her beauty and sexiness. He felt his heart pounding and a stirring of longing in his lower regions. She was far too beautiful to eat. He then noticed the man following her and assumed he was after her. He got out of the bush and followed him.
An hour after Josselyn left the house, Isolde returned with a bucket of fresh milk and called for Josselyn.
Simon was sharpening his axe and told his wife, "She's not here."
"Where is she?" Asked Isolde as she set the bucket on the table.
"I'm having her bring a basket to your mother in the south woods," he told her.
Isolde's face froze in horror, "Simon, my mother lives in the north side of the woods! Your mother lives in the south woods! Josselyn had never met her other grandmother and for a good reason! She'll kill her!"
Simon looked frightened, "You're right! I forgotten about that! I'll go and find her before she gets there!"
"Have the huntsman go with you!" Said Isolde. "Your mother is dangerous!"
Simon took his axe and ran out the door to the huntsman's house.
Meanwhile, Red Riding Hood walked through the woods and minding her own business. She then stopped at a nearby tree and retied her cloak. Almost instantly, she was jerked back and a dagger was held against her throat.
"You got two choices," said the man behind her. "You can make this hard or you can make this easy." He snaked his hand underneath her skirt and was about to slip his fingers into her, but then they both heard an animal growling.
They both turned around and saw a big black wolf baring it's teeth. The man pushed Red Riding Hood in front of it and tried to run away but the wolf brushed past her and chased the man. She turned around and saw that the wolf caught the man. The man scream in pain and agony as the wolf tore his stomach open and ate his intestines. Red Riding Hood frantically climbed up a tree to get away from the wolf. She closed her eyes and listened as the wolf continued to eat the man until his screaming died in a bloody gurgle.
After a minute, she hears a cracking sound. She opens her eyes, she saw the branch breaking and it broke in a snap. She fell into someone's arms. She looked up and saw a gorgeous man holding her. His hair was black as night, his eyes were hazel, and was wearing a black warrior's cassock and black boots. His mouth and chin were covered in blood.
Josselyn was scared, "P-Please let me go...take my basket but please don't hurt me."
The man put her down gently, "I have no desire of hurting you. The man's dead now. I took care of it."
"Took care of it? But the wolf..." She trailed off when she saw a medallion around his neck. It had a wolf's face on it. She remembered a story the butcher told her that wolf men wore medallions around their necks. That was when she realized...
"You're a wolf man!" She exclaimed.
The man bowed his head, grabbed her hand, and kissed it, "Gerard. At your service. You are?"
Josselyn blushed, "Josselyn. I'm going to my grandmother's house in the south woods because she's sick."
"Up there?" Gerard questioned. "Who in their right mind would want to live over there? It's dangerous."
"You've been there?" She asked.
He nodded, "As far as here. But if you need to go up further, I better go with you so you'll be safe."
"Would you?" Josselyn asked. "But what would you want in return?"
Gerard came closer to her and lowered her hood, revealing her beautiful face. He touched her face, "What, indeed."
Josselyn blushed even more, "B-But you're a wolf man! You can't-"
"We can," he said as he kissed her hand again. "We can change into wolves, but we are men nonetheless. We can love and want love. I saw you when you crossed the bridge this afternoon and I was left speechless. I saw that man following you from the village and knew that I had to follow you and be prepared to strike when he decided to attack you."
Josselyn was surprised, "He followed me from the village? You were trying to protect me even then?"
"Yes," said Gerard.
Josselyn was grateful. She decided to give Gerard a reward for saving her. She reached into her basket and pulled out a loaf of bread. She handed it to him.
He looked at it and handed it back to her, "Thank you, but I want something else."
"Like what?" She asked.
"Kiss me"
She was stunned at first but decided that one little kiss wouldn't do any harm. She stepped closer and gave Gerard a light kiss on his lips. Gerard pulled her back and kissed her longer and deeper. Josselyn melted into his kiss and put her hands on his shoulders. He wrapped his arms around her slender waist.
They finally broke apart for air and Gerard smirked at her, "If this is my reward for saving you from that man, I can't imagine what you'll give me when I escort you."
Josselyn pulled away and smiled, "Don't get cocky, Gerard. I have to see how well you'll protect me while we're walking into the south woods." She grabbed her basket, "Let's go."
"Yes, Ma'am," Gerard replied and they walked deeper into the woods.
