When Aries met Scorpio

HoroScoping Out The Place

Gerards pov.

“Mikeeeeeey.” I whine out as my annoying little brother tosses a shirt at my head.

“Shut it Gee! You’re going and that’s final. Pete is out of town for the weekend and he gave me the green light to go out and have fun, and this is the activity that I’ve chosen to do!” He snaps.

“I just don’t see the point in me being there, Mikes. I mean, I have a girlfriend for goodness sake! I don’t need to be watching a bunch of half naked guys dancing about!” I shoot back while putting the black button up that he threw at me on.

“Damn Gee, your baby brother needs someone to keep him company, so suck it up until my boyfriend gets back!” He says, as he smacks me on the arm.

“Oww! You’re an ass, but I love you, so okay, I’ll go with you. But I WILL NOT be tucking any money into some random dudes thong!” I reply, while pulling on my black high tops.

“I can live with that.” Is all he says back.

Five minutes later and we’re stepping out of my apartment building, we stand on the curb and wave down a cab. The strip club my brother is dragging me to is only about ten minutes away, so before I know it we’re pulling up in front of the building. The place appears to be decent sized from the outside, and seems to blend in with the rest of the buildings on the block, the only difference being the bright blue neon sign sticking out from the building, which quite classily reads “The Cock Pit”. I shake my head and let a small smile grace my face as Mikey pulls me out of the cab and toward the clubs doors.

When we step inside I’m momentarily shocked by how nice the interior looks. I don’t know what I was expecting, I guess I thought it’d be like dirtier in here or something. Well I guess it’s a good thing to be proven wrong on that notion. There is a bar to our left, with a few men huddled up to the counter ordering drinks.

“Gee, I’m gonna see if I can grab us some drinks before the dancing starts.” Mikey says, before abandoning me and making his way toward the bar.

Toward the front of the club is a decent sized stage, a shiney metal strippers pole directly in the middle. There is a fairly large crowd of men gathered in front of the stage, some sitting and some standing, in anticipation i’d presume. Most of the patrons here are overweight, balding, middle-aged men. I’m not one to judge, but I really don’t know why the idea of coming here was so appealing to my brother. Maybe it won’t be so bad once there’s actually someone onstage. Huh, come to think of it it’s kinda odd that the stage is empty, it seems like you’d want to keep someone up there at all times, for business sake at least.

“So, you’re probably wondering where all the dancers are, huh?”

I jump slightly in shock as I turn to get a look at the stranger that just seemed to magically read my fucking mind. He’s not a particularly tall guy. He’s got shorter black hair and a sort of punk look going on, dressed in all black. He seems kind of young to be in this place. He’s definitely the best looking guy I’ve seen in here so far, not that I’ve been scoping out the guys in here or anything, but anyone would be able to recognize that this guy is well above average looking.
I’m brought out of my inner dialogue by the punk guy.

“Hey, anybody in there?” He asks as he snaps his tattooed fingers in front of my face.

“Oh ha, yeah sorry, umm you actually just sorta read my mind. Do you know what’s up? Like when the next uhh... act or whatever is?” I ask, trying my best not to sound awkward.

He let’s out a small chuckle before replying. “ I don’t know man, I heard some of the workers talking, saying some asshole was refusing to get up on stage until after he got a chance to hit on some guy that just showed up, apparently the guy was like the hottest most adorable thing he’d ever seen, so he couldn’t wait.”

“That sounds kind of ridiculous though, don’t you think? Uhh?” I’m realizing I haven’t even gotten this stranger’s name yet.

“Frank. And yeah I guess it is a bit ridiculous, but it sounds like something I would do, so I’m not gonna question it.”

The conversation seems to just sort of die off after that, and after a minute or so of silence Frank decides to break it.

“Well ahh, I’ve got somewhere I need to be, it was really great meeting you-”

“Gerard” I chime in.

“Gerard, I like it, it suits you. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the show.” He says to me, winking as he turns and walks away.

“Oh, I’m not here for-” I cut myself off as I realize Frank has gotten out of hearing range.

“Who was that?” Mikey asks from behind me. I turn around and he hands me my drink. I’m assuming he got me soda since I’ve been sober for a couple of years now. I went through some rough times, but I don’t like digging up the past.

“Oh, that was Frank, seems like an okay guy.” Is my response. I leave out the bit about me finding Frank attractive. I mean I’m bisexual, but I also have a girlfriend at the moment, so me finding Frank attractive isn’t really of importance right now, as far as I’m concerned.

Just as I’m taking my first drink of soda the lights in the place start to dim, the stage is the only thing left illuminated. Everyone turns their attention toward the stage as a voice sounds through the speakers announcing that the next dancer will be up any moment.
Mikey and I make our way up closer to the stage, standing toward the back of the crowd of men already gathered in front of it.

“Frank said this next dancer is a bit of an ass, so don’t get too excited.” I tell Mikey. He just looks at me and laughs before turning back to the stage.
That’s when the room goes completely dark, not even the stage lights are on. Is this some sort of technical difficul-

“Hey guys, sorry I made you wait, I know I’m your favorite and all, but you wouldnot believe how gorgeous the guy I was just talking to is. Like seriously, WOW. He’s a show stopper, literally. I’m swooning so fucking hard right now, but I know I’ve got a job to do, so now I’m gonna dance for all of you. Hope you enjoy the show, Gerard.” Holy shit, it can’t be…

A blue spotlight slowly comes up on the stage as a song I recognize as Gods and Monsters, by Lana Del Rey, starts to play. Standing up on the center of the stage, shirtless, with the tightest shimmery black pants on that I’ve ever seen, is a beautiful, glistening Frank. Turns out his hands aren’t all that are tattooed, he is covered in ink designs. I can feel my stomach fluttering at the sight. I discovered a while ago that I’ve got a major tattoo kink. The song plays on as he works his body up and down the pole, moving his body perfectly to the music. The other men in the crowd let out whistles and howls as they toss their money onto the front of the stage.

As it gets closer to the end of the song I notice Frank scanning the audience until his gaze finally locks with mine. The next few moments feel like magnetism as he gets down on his knees and crawls to the front of the stage, never breaking eye contact with me. I unconsciously start making my way toward him, as if he were actually drawing me in. I could vaguely register Mikey trying to stop me, but I shrug him off. When I make it to the front of the stage, Frank is still on his knees, his face inches from mine and moving closer, slowly, with a lust filled look in his eyes. I let my eyes slip closed and am about to close the distance between us when the song ends and the rest of the lights kick back in, snapping me out of my Frank filled daze. I jump back from the stage and look up to see Frank staring at me with a disappointed and somewhat longing look on his face.

I can feel my face blushing a deep shade of red as the full reality of what I was just about to do hits me. I was just going to kiss Frank in front of all these people. I was about to kiss Frank, and I have a GIRLFRIEND. Nice one, Gerard, Lindsey trusts you to go out with your brother and have fun and you go and almost cheat on her. Gahh, I’m such an ass!

“Uh Gee, what exactly was that?” Mikey asks from my side, gesturing toward the stage. I just now notice that Frank and the money are no longer up there.

“I- I d-don’t know.” I stutter out.

“Well I’m going to assume you are the hot guy that he was going on about then?” Mikey questions.

“I ahh, yeah I guess? Maybe we should just go?” I suggest hopefully.

“Was the show really that bad?” A familiar voice sounds out from behind us. Mikey and I turn around and I come face to face with Frank, again. He looks slightly flushed, and he’s covered in a sheen of sweat, a grin plastered to his face.

“No no, it was umm, it was- you were-” I can’t seem to form a comprehensible sentence while Frank is staring at me like that.

“Sorry man, my brother seems to have forgotten how to speak properly. I’m Mikey, by the way. You were great up there.” Mikey offers, reaching a hand out to Frank.

Frank grips his hand and gives a small shake before replying “Frank, and thank you.”

“Mikes and I were actually just about to take off so…” I trail off, somewhat finding my voice again. Franks face drops for a brief second, before a grin returns to his face.

“Oh, okay. Kind of was hoping you guys would stick around, but alright. I hope you have a great rest of the night.” Frank says.

“Ha, we’ll try. I’m gonna return these glasses to the bar real quick, I’ll meet you outside Gee.” Mikey says as he grabs the half empty glass from my hands.

“Well ahh, it was nice meeting you Frank.” I give him a small wave before turning toward the exit. I only make it a few steps away before I feel a hand lock with mine as I’m spinned back around.

Frank pulls me up against him and whispers in my ear “I hope I’ll be seeing more of you, beautiful.” Then he slowly takes a few steps back from me and winks before turning around and heading off toward what I assume are their dressing rooms.

I stand stuck to my spot for a moment before I realize that Frank must’ve slipped something into my palm when he took my hand. Sure enough, there is a small slip of paper folded in my palm. I unfold it to find that Frank gave me his number, with a small note that reads ‘Call me, show stopper ;) xoxofrnk‘.

I tuck the note into the back pocket of my tight black skinnies and make my way toward the exit. As I walk out the doors I can’t help but feel guilty. Guilty because up until tonight I thought I was in love with my girlfriend. Up until tonight I thought I knew what I wanted. Up until tonight I’d never felt that attraction...that magnetism.
