Cheer Practice and Gerard

"James! You need to stick that landing!" Devina yelled at me two days before our performance at the football game. She's been yelling at me for a whole hour and I'm about to flip out.

"Starting form everyone!" Devina yelled and we set up. I was in the front line, meaning I did all the floor work and flips and tricks. "Five, six, seven, eight!" Devina squealed.

I saw Frank sit down in the back of the stands, looking at us as I turned into my first stunt. Three back hand springs with a back flip. I landed it before running to my next spot. Split jump. I did it, looking up at Frank who had his eyes on me. I finished the routine without any problems. It was amazing.

Devina didn't even look at me as she called practice was finished. Everyone walked off and a turned back to the stands where Frank had been sitting. He wasn't there. I turned around to follow the others into the change rooms but instead came face to face with a smile Frank.

"That was so fucking cool!" He told me and I smiled. This man is doing something to me.
"Need a ride home?" Frank asked. "We can stop for coffee on the way?" he added.
"Yeah," I said, "Are we going to change first?"

Frank was still in his school uniform, and I was in my green and gold cheer skirt and top.
"No, let's just go." Frank shrugged. "Maybe I'll get some cool points if I'm seen buying a cheerleader coffee."

I chuckled and Frank followed me back to the change rooms to grab my stuff.

As we walked to his car we heard the roar of an engine coming into the parking lot. The red car pulled up beside us and out jumped Gerard.

He's been pestering me all week, and really trying to piss Frank off by flirting with me.

"Hey, sugar." He said to me. I rolled my eyes and turned towards Frank.

"Ready?" I asked and opened my door.

"No, not yet." Frank said, not taking his eyes of Gerard. "I'm sick of this bullshit Gerard. What do you want?"

Gerard's eyes flickered with amusement. "Just to bug you, Frankie."

"Well go a head, I told you I was sorry she left you for me. It wasn't even my fault you prick. Just stop trying to bring James into this." Frank replied. I shut the door quietly and watch the scene before me unfold.

"Don't go around pretending you know anything about girls." Gerard snapped. "Shannon didn't know what she was thinking. I'm glad she left me. But what did she do when you denied her, Frank? Tell me." Gerard was inches from Frank. "What did she say to you again? That you couldn't treat any girl right. You're just a little virgin."

Fire blazed in Frank's eyes. What the hell were they talking about?

"Any girl would rather be with me than you, Way." Frank said through gritted teeth. I thought it was about time to step in.

"Frank let's just go." I said and pulled him away from Gerard. Gerard just got back in his car and drove off. Frank turned to me and said, "Sorry you had to see that."

"No, it's fine and really none of my business. " I told him and we pulled out of the school parking lot.

"Don't you want to know?" Frank asked.

"Know what?"

"About Shannon." he replied and took at right turn.

"Of course I'm curious but like I said, it's none of my business. " I looked at him. He looked nervous.

"It is now. You're his new target." He stopped at a red light and looked at me. "It's my fault, James. I'm sorry I ever told Mikey. I wasn't thinking that Gerard was listening."

"What are you talking about?" I questioned.

"It's not that simple to answer that. It will take a while to answer all your questions. Why don't you come over to my place?" He asked.

I was shocked. Frank didn't talk about his house or his family. I only know that he's an only child and his parents aren't together.

"Um..." I replied, "Sure, just can we- uh - stop by mine on the way? I have to tell my father where I am and change."

"Yeah, of course." Frank said and a minute later we were in my driveway. My father's motorcycle was in the garage, so he's home. And my brothers probably are too. Shit.

"Uh- come in, I'll only be two minutes." I told Frank and we walked into my house.

"Elliot?" My father called from the living room. "Come here." Oh no.

Frank and I walked into the living room. My father was there and Justin, Jace and Jimmy were just leaving.

"Bonjour, papa. (Hello, father.)" I said uncertainly.

"English, Elliot. I bet you're friend doesn't know French. It is rude." he said with his accent.

"Sorry, dad." I said. "What did you want?" Frank was standing behind me.

"What are you wearing?" he asked. I was still in my uniform.

"Well, I am on the cheer team at school. We had practice, that's why I'm late home." I told him. He was looking at Frank.

Frank stepped in front of me and introduced himself to my father.

"Hi, my name's Frank." He said and held out a hand. My father stood up and shook it.

"Jeff Gordon." My father said. Then looked passed Frank and said to me, "J'aime celui la. (I like this one)." With a wink and a smile.

Frank looked back at me with confusion on his face. I blushed.

"Okay, dad I'm going to Frank's for a but tonight, I'll be home late." I said and dragged Frank into my room.

"I'm sorry." I said to him and walked over to my dresser.

"What did he say?" Frank asked, amusement in his voice. He could tell.

"Don't worry about it." I replied as he sat on my bed. I took of my top so I was in my bra.

"James-" Frank said.

"You aren't a virgin, are you?" I questioned and took off my skirt. I was in my bra and panties. I could tell Frank wasn't a virgin. There was something in his eye that told me he wasn't.

"No." he admitted, and pried his eyes away from me.

"Why do you lead everyone to believe so?" I questioned and through on an outfit.

"It's easier for them to not think much of me." he replied and stood up from my bed. "Let's get to my house."

We left for Frank's.
