It’s 1790 and Gerard Arthur Way the new baby in the most successful and richest families in New Jersey is born. “Look at our sweet baby, sweetie.” His mother said. His father put a hand on his babies face taking in how beautiful his son is. “We have been blessed Donna.” He says kissing her. She hums looking at her son.

“Is it a boy or a girl Mama!” Gerard said excited to know if he was going to have a baby brother or a baby sister. She gave him a small smile, rubbing her stomach. “I hope it’s a boy, sweetie.” She says. Gerard jumps up smiling. “Boy or girl, I will love them!” Gerard said before running out of the room.

“AAAAH!!!” Donna yells as she is giving birth to her newest kid. “Donna, you have done this before you can do it again!” “I can’t Don!” She cried. “Yes you can! I believe in you!” She nods and continues to push. She soon pushed out a beautiful baby boy.

“Gerard, come say hello to your new baby brother.” Donna says walking over to Gerard, who stayed home with the maids and other servants. Gerard ran to Donna and extended his arms to hold his new brother. Donna laughed and helped Gerard carry him. “His names is Michael James Way.” Don says putting a hand on Donna’s shoulder.

“You got this Mikey!” Gerard said teaching his brother how to read. Gerard pointed to a sentence in one of his baby books. “M-Monk-ay?” Mikey said looking up to Gerard with a huge smile. “Monkey! Yes you got it Mikey!” Gerard said pulling his brother into a hug. Mikey clapped his hands and chuckled. He looked back into the book and tried to read the next word.

“My baby boy is 13!” Donna cheered. Mikey giggled and pulled Gerard into a tight hug. “We have big plans for you soon Gerard!” Don said wrapping his arm around Donna.

Donna and Don went to Gerard’s room and closed the door to make sure Mikey didn’t hear. “Gerard, sweetie.” Donna said walking closer to Gerard. Gerard looked away from what he was doodling on his desk with a very nice quill. “Yes Mother?” He said. “Since you are 16 and are able to get married now.” She said biting her lip. “We have made an arrange marriage with you and Lindsey Ballato.” Don said cutting in. The Ballato family was the second most richest families in New York. Don had a long backstory with Lindsey’s father. “You can’t do that!” Gerard protested. “I’m sorry Gerard, but it’s done and you are going to be married to her when you are 18. She is still 14.”

“Hi Gerard!” Lindsey said waving at Gerard from the distance outside. She ran towards Gerard pulled him into a tight hug. Gerard wanted to push her off, but he wouldn’t do that to a girl. “Hi Lindsey.” He said awkwardly. “It’s okay Gerard.” She said. “My parent’s told me that we plan to marry, but I don’t want. I am sure you don’t want to either.” She said giving Gerard a small smile. “We can be friend until we can figure a way out of this.” Gerard said.

Lindsey came over to Gerard’s house every day to figure something out. They hung out in Gerard’s room, which made his parents happy on how well they were getting along and Mikey sad, that he wasn’t hanging out with his brother anymore. “Gerard! Why are you being so secretive!” Mikey said trying to push past Gerard’s door which him and Lindsey held closed. “One day I will tell you Mikey. Today is not the day.” Mikey scuffed before walking away. Lindsey sighed and sat on my desk. “How are we going to get out of this?” Gerard asked. Lindsey hummed swinging her feet. She gasped and looked up. “We can try to run away!” She said. Gerard raised a brow. Her plan get her killed. The women can’t walk out when getting married. “Lindsey it’s too risky for you to run off.” Gerard said. She sighed and got off the table. “I can fake my death.” She said very cold. “Where are you going to stay when you fake your death?” “There’s an empty house down the street. I can stay there until needed.” She said smiling. The most she would need to hide is about 3 years. “I will write you every day.” She smiled.

“Does it look like I have been murdered?” She said. Gerard looked at her and giggled. “Looks like someone threw a tomato at you.” She scuffed and tried to mix some berries on top of the tomato. She managed to make it look decent. “Okay now go tell everyone that you found me dead. I will go lay on top of the bushes.” Gerard nodded and ran inside. “Mother! Father! Mikey!” He yelled getting their attention. “What’s wrong Gerard?” Don said. “I-It’s Lindsey.” He stuttered to make it more believable. “What happened to her?” Donna asked getting up from the couch where they all sat. “S-She’s. Dead!” Gerard yelled, drawing some tears. “Follow me!” They all followed and yelled to see Lindsey on the bushes covered in blood, which was just tomato’s and berries. “Go get her father Don!” Donna yelled. He nodded and ran to their house which was not from here. Mikey cried looking at her body. Gerard felt bad for making Mikey cry, but they had to do this.

It was time for her funeral and there were only 6 people there including Gerard. Her parent’s, Gerard’s parent’s and Mikey. Gerard walked over to her casket and made sure they were cheering each other up as he talked to Lindsey. “When they start to bury me you dig me back up.” She whispered. “Yeah I can’t let you stay down there too long. It’s so cold outside and I don’t want to risk actually losing you.” Gerard said. She gave him a smile before closing her eyes. “I’ll help.” Mikey said scaring Gerard and Lindsey. Lindsey opened her eyes back up and looked at Mikey terrified. “Was this the thing you were going to tell me one day?” Mikey said a bit upset crossing his arms. Gerard nodded, guilty for what he has done. “I know why you guys did this and I wish Lindsey the best of luck and wish Gerard good luck with our Mother and Father.” Mikey said giving them a smile. Gerard sighed as Lindsey closed her eyes again.

(After the funeral, 1807, December)
“Hurry up Gerard! It’s freezing!” Mikey hissed. If he was this cold with a large suit jacket, they wondered how Lindsey would be feeling in a dress with no sleeves. Gerard finished digging and Mikey helped him pull her coffin out of the ground. They opened it and saw Lindsey pale, as if she was actually dead. She turned her head and coughed. “I’m…..so…c-cold.” She said. Gerard reacted and took off his jacket and put it on Lindsey. He carried her out of the coffin as Mikey closed it and pushed it back in, before covering the hole. They ran to the house Gerard and Lindsey decided she would be staying in and slammed the door open panicking. Mikey lit candles that were displayed around the couch and the fireplace in front of it. Gerard and Mikey hugged her by the fire to get her warm, which they eventually did. “Thank you.” She said looking and Gerard and Mikey.

Lindsey as promised sent letters to Gerard every day and Gerard did the same. Mikey even joined in and became friends with her. Donna and Don talked to Gerard and said he didn’t have to marry anyone. They didn’t think there was any other girl right for him.

Gerard went to visit Lindsey after not hearing anything from her in a few months, which worried him. Gerard walked to the house which was a lot darker and more creepy. Nothing like it was at first. Gerard wanted to turn back, but he could. The last letter he got was her saying ‘she has changed and doesn’t want to be near any human.’ Which got Gerard worried. He knocked on the door, which was pointless. The door swung open and you can see things broken. “Lindsey?” He called out. “Stay away from me! I beg of you!” She cried. Gerard spun around the dark room trying to figure out where she was. “Where are you? What’s going on? I am worried of you.” Gerard said crying. “Promise me you won’t run when you see me.” That gave Gerard a sinking feeling in his stomach. “Promise!” She hissed. “I p-promise.” Gerard said stuttering. She walked out from the shadows and you can instantly see her glass like red eyes, her pale skin, her razor sharp teeth and the blood coming down her chin. Gerard screamed and ran to the door. She chased after him and pulled him away from the door. “You promised!” She cried.
Gerard turned and faced her seeing the tears in her devilish eyes. “What happened to you! What kind of monster are you!” She growled from hearing Gerard being mean to her. “I am a vampire now Gerard…” She letting him go. Gerard took a deep breath and examined her. She didn’t look like a vicious vampire, but the blood on her chin did. “There was a vampire who broke into here a few nights ago and tried to drain me, but ended up turning me.” She said looking down. Gerard hugged her, not being afraid of her anymore. “I can help you through this.” He said. Before he knew it Lindsey, bit into his neck making him screech. She pulled away wide-eyed from what she has done. “Gerard! I-I’m so s-sorry!” She said crying. “I c-couldn’t h-help it!” “You monster!!!” He yelled.

Gerard has been a vampire for 3 years now. Mikey and his parents have been looking for him and just gave up. He lived in the abandoned house with Lindsey who he never talked to. He hated her for turning him. She finally snapped one day. “Quit being mad at me! I apologized for 3 years! The most you could do is talk to me or help me find a cure!” “Find a cure? If there was a cure you would’ve turned yourself back human those months you never sent me a letter!” He hissed getting up from the couch they were on. “Because of you, my brother is crying his eyes out and I can’t do anything about it!” Gerard yelled. “If we actually went through with the marriage we probably wouldn’t be dead now!” Lindsey cried. She knew it was all her fault.

Gerard finally had the guts to go outside and talk to his brother. Gerard walked to his house at midnight staying hidden. He snuck into his house and to Mikey’s room and saw his brother curled up on the bed. He noticed Gerard and got a smile. “Gerard! You’re alive!” He said getting up. Gerard shushed him and backed away a bit. “Gerard where have you been all of these years? Why are you stay away from me?” Mikey said. Gerard scanned the area and quickly pushed Mikey into his room, closing the door. “Gerard, why are you so cold? And what is with your eyes?” Gerard started to cry, before telling his brother what had happened. He was upset, but he loved Gerard so he wasn’t scared of him. “My wife, Alicia. She does studies on rituals. She can help you turn back human!” Mikey cheered. Gerard looked at him puzzled. His baby brother was married and he missed out. He got very angry he swiftly punched the wall behind Mikey, making him flinch. “I missed my brother’s wedding cause of that wench!” Mikey looked down sad. He really wanted his brother to be there. “I haven’t seen her in a few days, though. I will go over to her house in the morning.” Mikey said

“I hate you.” Gerard spat looking at Lindsey. “I found out my brother is married and I missed the wedding.” Lindsey looked at her hands playing with them as Gerard continued to spit at her. “She knows rituals and Mikey is going to get her told help me turn back to human.” She looked up and smiled. “Help ME. Only ME. You don’t deserve to be cured.” He spat. “Listen here Gerard! I know I ruined our lives, but you need to lighten up and be my friend again! I will talk to Mikey and his wife.” She said. “Mikey isn’t going to help you, besides he hasn’t seen his wife in days. He is going to her home in the morning.” She froze, terrified by my words. “What’s her name?” She said very cold. Gerard started to shiver and get angry. “Her name is Alicia. Why do you ask?” She leaned against the wall as if the next thing was hard to say. “I-I killed her.”

After Mikey found out what happened to his wife, he hated Lindsey. She took the love of his life from him. Mikey cried every night when the villagers found her corpse. Her neck was ripped open and she was covered in so much blood it wasn’t human. The villagers started to get scared and made a search group to find and kill the monster who did this.

Mikey got over her death of his deceased wife and fell in love with a beautiful peasant named Kristin. Don and Donna didn’t support that she was a peasant, but they didn’t care. They were happy to see their child happy once again.

(1826)
Mikey took Gerard home one day to meet his fiancée. She wasn’t frightened, by Gerard at all which calmed Gerard down. He was so scared to be near a human who wasn’t his brother. “Hello.” She said smiling at Gerard. Gerard chuckled, before responding. “Nice that you are not scared of me.” Gerar said sighing. “If my Michael isn’t afraid of you, why should I?” She said hugging Gerard. “Let’s go tell Mother and Father you’re alive Gerard!” Mikey cheered. Gerard felt something heavy in his stomach, but followed his brother anyways. Gerard was shaking a bit thinking. How would they react? Mikey grabbed Gerard’s hand and led him into the massive living room where you could see their parents on the couch reading. “Mother, Father.” Mikey said a bit nervous. They turn to face Gerard and Mikey. They looked as if they’ve seen a ghost. To be fair Gerard was dead, so that counts. Their mother got happy and got up and ran towards Gerard, pulling him into a tight hug. “Gerard, my baby! Where have you been! Why are you so cold?” She questions. She exams Gerard and sees his glassy red eyes, sharp teeth, and pale skin. She screams and back away from the monster. “You are a monster!” She screamed, Don holding her in his hands as she shook.
Gerard started to cry. “Mother, no! He is not a monster. I have never seen him hurt someone.” Mikey argued. Gerard felt a bit relieved that his brother was by his side, after all the mess he put him through. “How long have you known he was a monster?” Their father chimed in. “For a few years.” Mikey said feeling a bit guilty. “But he isn’t a monster! Lindsey is!” Their parents scuffed and got a confused look from Kristin. “That’s impossible.” Donna hissed. “We saw her corpse! We buried her!” “It was all a plan to get us not to marry, but she ended up a vampire, then turning me into one.” Gerard said crying.

Everyone knew everything now. Gerard’s parents hid him from vampire hunters, while Lindsey’s parents turned her in. As much the Way family hated her, they still tried to save her from the death sentence she was receiving.
The Way family cried and begged them to stop, but the Ballato’s refused. Gerard watched from on top of a house. “Sad to see on of us go.” A man who was on the building as well said. Gerard jolted up ready to attack. Fangs out and eyes bright red. “Easy there. I don’t hurt my own kind.” The man said walking closer to him. “I am Bert.” He says sticking his hands out for him to shake. Gerard shook his hand. “I am Gerard.” He says. Bert walks around him taking in his features. “You seem like a young vampire! I will have to teach you how to use your powers.” He said.

Bert helped him, but like most vampires, he was caught and killed in front of everyone as Gerard watched from the rooftop of a house once again.

“So you know how to use your powers?” Mikey asked Gerard. “Yeah thanks to Bert.” Gerard cried a bit saying his name. He got sad thinking of losing another friend. Mikey hugged him saying everything will be alright.

Gerard witnessed Mikey’s and Kristin’s wedding and was so proud of how far his baby brother has come.

(1835)
Gerard was visiting Mikey and Kristin one day to congratulate them on the birth of their new child. Gerard ended up regretting it. He walked into Mikey’s home and saw Mikey and Kristin dead on the floor along with their baby. Gerard fell to the ground, bursting into tears. “Mikey! Mikey!” He yelled. Gerard looked at the corpses and saw a note crumbled up in the babies blanket. Gerard got up and picked the note up. He ripped the paper to shreds and ran out of the house.
“This is what happens when one of our kind loves a monster, like you Gerard. -Village.”
Gerard ran to his parent’s home to only witness the same and see another note on them.
“Now you know how we felt when you took out loved one’s Gerard. -Village.”
At that moment, the whole town knew about Gerard being a vampire and were after him. Gerard never hurt a soul and was punished by it. His whole world fell apart as he broke down on the floor wanting to die.

Gerard began a long vicious streaks of killing the villagers. He wanted them to pay for taking his family and friends. It was his daily routine for a century.

Gerard watched as his old home got demolished along with the Ballato manor.

People came by Gerard’s manor every year on Halloween to see if vampire are truly real or not. Gerard helped them know before killing every one of them.

(1982)
Gerard never the manor, which made them think he was dead by the time it was 1982. Gerard started to become a myth to everyone along with his history. The only thing that kept people believing he was still alive was his manor and the disappearances in there. More people started to come to investigate, but like Gerard did with the others, he killed them.
