A few days later there was a knock at the door. I opened it to find Lucy, her face pale and her hair sticking up.
'Just got up?' I commented, smiling.
She didn't reply, so obviously something was wrong.
'What's wrong?' Aimee asked behind me.
'Come in and tell us.' I insisted, dragging her by the arm. Aimee sat her down at the table and I made some hot chocolate with a tiny bit of animal blood. I handed it out and sat next to Lucy.
'Okay, what's up?'
'Frank....' Lucy began, shaking her head.
'...'
'....'
'FrankIsNotAVampire' She said in a rush.
'WHAT?' I fell out of my chair.
'Frank isn't a vampire. I don't know how he got in....I'm sorry,' Lucy whispered.
I thought. It all made sense. How he didn't react to sunlight, how he didn't get hungry when he smelt blood, how he had no fangs.
'So, what is he?' Aimee asked.
'He's a human. I don't understand...' Lucy sighed.
I tried to act braver than I felt.
'Well then, we'll change him into one.'
