Hopeless Hearts

Gerard went back into his house, sighing as he closed the door behind him. He tried walking upstairs to his room without causing a commotion, but he woke up his mom on the way to his room.
"Gerard..?" she asked sleepily "What are you -- Is that cigarette smoke? Have you been smoking?"
Gerard, sensing the increasing anger in her voice and going into his room, slamming the door shut and locking it. He wasn't ready for yet another lecture, it hadn't worked any of the other times and wasn't going to work this time. He laid down on his bed, though instead of sleeping pulled his phone out from his pocket.
He went to facebook, setting his relationship status to single. He then typed Lyn-Z, what his girlfriend went by, and looked through all their photos, his eyes tearing up some. "Delete.. delete.. un-tag..." He thought as he got rid of any photos of the two of them.
He then decided to look up the new neighbors. "Frank.. Frank what..?" he questioned, just typing the name "Frank" into the search bar and hoping it would bring up those closest to him right now. After scrolling through a few facebook profiles, he finally found that of the boy he was looking for and clicked on his profile. He saw little to no pictures of Frank with anyone who seemed like a friend, only seeing those of him and his mother. He felt sort of bad for the boy, but he wasn't about to worry about someone else being sad when he currently felt like shit.
As he continued scrolling through Frank's facebook page, he found himself admiring the boy's face some. He had a nose Gerard found to be quite cute, and in some of his smiling photos, Gerard even felt himself smile as he saw Frank's cute smile.
An hour passed before he put down his phone and rolled over, closing his eyes and going to sleep, not thinking anything of how he had been looking at Frank, in his mind he still believed he was straight and just though Frank was cute in a non-attractive way.
He would soon find out he was wrong.
