Fangs (New Version)

Gerard's POV:

My mom, Frankie, and I are making dinner. It's nice. I finally get to see my mom again. I just hope my dad understands. My mom is dancing around the kitchen and I'm singing. Frankie is laughing at the both of us as he makes pasta. I walk up behind him and hold his hips and sing in his ear. We all start laughing.

"Look at you two. It's great to have you back Gerard. Your dad is going to be so happy to see you again." She says. I smile as walk up to her and hug her.

"I really missed you guys mama. I'm so glad that Frankie came to me when he did. Sorry I was so scared to come and see you guys." I say. She smiles and kisses my head.

"It's okay Geebear. We have you back now." She tells me. I smile and continue singing and waving my hands in the air like I used to do. She giggles.

We spend that time singing and cooking. Suddenly I hear a voice.

"Donna! I'm home! Are you watching our old home videos of him singing? I know it's been almost for years and I miss him as well but we need to forget." I hear him say. I sing softly as I continue helping Frank cook. I hear my dad walk into the kitchen. "Oh! Hello Frank! Who's this?" He asks. Frank looks at me and gives me a soft kiss on the cheek. I wait a second.

"Why don't you turn around son." My mom says. I know she's standing beside my dad at the moment. I turn around and give a shy smile to my dad.

"S-son?" He asks warily. I give a soft nod. He stares at me in shock.

"Hi Dad. It's me." I say softly. I walk closer to him. He starts backing away.

"Donna, is this real? What's wrong with his eyes?" He asks and backs into a wall. I look down. My eyes.

"This is real Don. Gerard is back. There's nothing wrong with his eyes. He's just a bit different. We've got our son back though. Frank found him and he's back Don." She says to my dad. I look back up. I see him staring and pointing at me then at Frank.

"Their eyes Donna. Their eyes are red. Something isn't right here Donna. They must be evil if their eyes are red. We've got to stop them." He says shaking. I frown and frank walks up to me and hugs me.

"It's okay Gee. Come here baby." He says to me softly. He holds me softly and gives me a soft kiss.

"Come on Donald. It's your son. He isn't evil. It's Frank too. How in the name of hell could those two ever be evil. Look Don. Gerard went through some struggles and something happened. He's still our good little boy though. He isn't evil. Come here." She says and drags my dad to me. I stand there quietly and keep my head down. Frank is still hugging me softly. "Hug him Don." She says. He shyly puts his arms around me. I quickly hug him back and make sure I'm being light so he doesn't get scared.

"I missed you Dad." I say quietly. He's still being cautious of me.

"Where were you for 4 years?" He asks me. I sigh slightly. How do I tell him. I feel him tense against me. "Where's your heartbeat? Why aren't you breathing?" He asks. Well I guess he's kind of figured out now.

"Dad, I'm dead. So is Frankie. It's the reason our eyes are red. I'm a vampire. No, I don't drink blood. I've never hurt anyone other than myself. Please don't be scared." I say. I feel him break the hug. I suddenly feel two hands around my neck and them trying to push me. I hit a wall and his hands are tightly wrapped around my throat. "Dad, please stop." I say with tears appearing in my eyes. He wraps his hands tighter. I do the one thing I know best. I teleport away from him and beside my mom and Frankie. I'm crying. Frankie holds me and my mom comes and joins the hug.

"DON! What the fuck were you thinking? Him, Frank, and I were here alone for an hour and they didn't hurt me. It's your son and his boyfriend! We've known them for years Don! We've know Gerard and Frank from birth! Why the hell would you attack your son like that? He's the same person he's always been. He's scared and was afraid that someone would try and hurt him if he visited us. It's our Gerard, Don! He hasn't changed!" She yells at my dad. "Are you okay sweetie?" She asks me softly. I nod.

"Just scared." Is all I manage to sob out. Frankie holds me tighter and kisses my cheek. I relax against him as he holds me.

My Dad stares at his hands. "No. No. What did I do? I'm sorry Gerard. I was scared. I'm sorry." He says and cautiously walks up to us. I hold onto Frankie tighter. What if he tries to hurt me again?

"It's okay Gee. Give your dad a hug. You'll be okay. I'm here for you." Frankie says to me. I give a nod and my hands shake as I give my dad a hug. He hugs back. Will I be treated normally? I hope so.

Its been a few hours after the 'scare' and my dad and I have been getting along better. I'm gaining confidence and start singing and dancing again. They are all laughing and Frankie serves dinner. He knows to give both of us raw meet so he does. We all dig in. My parents eating the cooked meat meal and Frankie and I eating the raw meat. Both of our fangs shoot out before we eat and my parents look a little shocked.

"Sorry. It's kind of habit." I say. They both shrug and giggle and we all eat. It's a good dinner and we are all having fun. It's nothing busy and it's all fun. We play a bunch of games as we eat and we all talk. Then the doorbell rings.

"I'll be right back!" My mom says as she leaves to get the door. "Linda! Come in!" She says. Frank's mom is here. I see him tense a bit. He hasn't told her yet. Both of our eyes quickly revert back to normal colour and we retract our fangs. Linda walks into the room.

"Hey Don! Hey Frank! Hey Gerard... wait. Gerard?" She asks. I look up and give a shy smile. How did she recognize me quicker than her son and my own parents?

"Hey Linda." I say quietly. Thank god we finished eating so there is no raw meat on any plates.

"Gee how do I tell her?" Frankie whispers to me. I grab his hand and squeeze it lightly.

"Mom, Dad. Linda doesn't know about the thing yet. Can you help us tell her? It's both things. You know what I'm talking about." I say. My parents smile and nod. I smile at Frankie.

"Have a seat Linda. We've all got something to tell you. Not sure how you are going to take it but it's all good news." My mom says to her. I smile at Frankie. "Tell her the easiest thing first Frankie." My mom says to Frank. He blushes and grabs my hand.

"Mom. This isn't just my best friend, but he's also my boyfriend. Gee and I are dating." He says. I smile and wrap an arm around him. He smiles softly at me.

"Fucking finally! We've all been waiting!" She says happily. I giggle and Frankie blushes a deep red. I kiss his cheek and giggle again.

"Also. Gee and I are... Fuck Gee. You were right this is hard to say. Um, I'm just going to come right out and say it. Mom, Gee and I are vampires." He says. His mom rolls her eyes. "I'm being serious mom." He says again. My mom holds Linda's shoulders.

"They are being serious." My mom says. Frankie and I make our eyes go red and let our fangs slip through. Frank's mom's eyes go wide. My mom keeps a tight grasp on her.

"We've never hurt anyone. We don't drink blood and we don't attack people. We eat raw beef or pork. We've been living with my brother and have never hurt him. He actually bites us and he's human!" I say with a giggle. My parents and Frankie giggle too. Linda gives a very light giggle.

"I'm still me. I just have to eat raw meat and I can do cool
stuff. I haven't changed." He says and disappears and appears on my lap. I laugh and hug him.

We all have a good rest of the night. Our parents know and they don't care. They are happy that their sons are happy. Who would have thought that it didn't matter that we were different? They still love us the same.
