Friends

"Frank…" Gerard mumbled, "Frank where are you?"
He snuck down the road, flanking to the houses which shrouded him in their shadows. He was consumed by the darkness but his staring eyes still peered through the dark and they glared at anything that might make a move. Gerard was on an adventure; not only to find his friend (who had somewhat disappeared) but also to find a perfect place in which to store Joel's corpse.
He kept walking with a glint in his shining eyes and of all the places and streets that Gerard could have wandered onto, he found himself stood under a flickering orange street lamp watching a figure who sat on the doorstep of a small ground floor apartment opposite him. For some strange reason Gerard felt like he knew this figure, even through the darkness and the fading light that the moon was casting through the clouds he swore that he recognised the beautiful features of the human. In fact this figure seemed less like a human, and to Gerard they seemed more of an angel or a god: their soft black hair fell around their perfect face with green eyes glistening and sad. The paleness of their face stood out perfectly and the tattooed hands hugged around their knees. They seemed broken and lost. And Gerard felt like he needed to find them and stitch them back together again. It was only when he crossed the street and peered at the shaking, curled up figure (surrounded by suitcases and various other jam-packed bags) that he recognised who it was. Frank.

"Hey friend…." Gerard began as he sat himself down next to the quivering Frank. Gerard tried to put his arm around Frank to try and comfort him but he only shied away and moved further into the corner.
"It's okay Frankie…" Gerard whispered into his ear making Frank feel even more uncomfortable, "I'm here now and I'm your friend, what's wrong Frankie?"
"Go away." Frank muttered.
"Not until I know what's wrong and how I can help you Frankie. That's what friends do, right?"
"You're not my friend!" Frank shouted, "You never were and you never will be! You killed Joel!"
"Sorry, but he deserved it," replied Gerard calmly, "Sorry, did I say something wrong? It's just that I've never had a friend before so I not really sure what I should do or say?"
"How many times do I have to say: Gerard, you're not my friend."
"Hm…" muttered Gerard taking Frank's hand in his and squeezing it gently, "Sorry: I think you'll find that you are my friend."
"I am not!"
"And do you care about Al and the rest of your family?"
"Of course!" Cried Frank, breaking down back into tears at the mention of Al's name, "even though he might not think the same about me: Al means everything to me!"
"So….." continued Gerard, smiling a little "You'd do anything to stop Al getting hurt."
"Yes!"
"So you'd be my friend?" Gerard asked with a grin on his mischievous face, "You promise to be my friend to keep Al safe? You promise to meet up with me and talk to me and we can do hang together and do stuff that friends do together."
"And what if I don't?" asked Frank, worry creeping into his voice.
"If you don't then it's 'bye bye Al and the rest of your family' and I'll make you throw all of their corpses into the river after I've killed them: how about that? Will you be my friend now?!"
"okay. Okay….anything to keep Al safe."
"Good. Shall we start by having a sleepover then, at my house?!" asked Gerard, getting to his feet and cracking his knuckles. He moved his fiery red hair gently out of his eyes and tucked it carefully behind his ear.
"No." replied Frank.
"Excuse me?! Were you not listening anything that I just said?! If you are not going to be my friend then I will kill everyone and everything that means something to you until you are! Now I'll ask again…" Gerard paused, for effect, "Shall we start by having a sleep over at mine?!"

He grabbed Frank by the collar and pulled him up from the floor, wrapping his lips around Frank's and felt the strange sensation as the cool metal of Frank's lip ring collided with his own. He pressed his body up against Frank, moving his hands through his hair and feeling the angel's heart beat thrash next to his own pulse.
"Get off me!!!" Yelled Frank pushing Gerard to the floor, "I never was you're friend and I never will be!!!"

He ran as fast as he could, blinding following his feet into the darkness; stopping when he reached a gloomy wood. He turned around with the trees looming behind him to see nobody following him. He was alone, with no way of warning Al about Gerard.
