"Let's Be Roommates"

Today we were heading to my mom's and I'm nervous .Not for the visit though, Rylen and I walked in silence, ever since I kissed her she's been acting strange. I hope I didn't upset her. I couldn't stop myself, she looked really beautiful, just having the moonlight illuminating her pale skin, it was inevitable. We finally arrived, I couldn't take another second of the loud silence that filled the awkward space between us. I opened the door, without a thought of knocking. Before us, stood Mikey, Frank and Ray along side my parents all welcoming us home.

" Hey guys, Ray? back from Detroit?"

" You bet, I had to see who's your girlfriend. Oh and look who it is" Ray teasesd. He already knew this was all a scheme. Frank and Mikey told him.

" Oh Rylen it's so nice to finally meet you" My mom beamed and pulled her in for a hug. Already accepted.

" You are so beautiful, you just have gorgeous grey eyes and your hair, snowy white?" My mom inquired

" uhm thank you and yes that's it" Rylen replied.

" It suits you just fine. You're quite pixie- like too. Really you're small and frail. Have you been eating?"

" Yes...Mrs. Way I just don't have a huge appetite"

" Honey call me Donna or maybe mom, I'm sure I'll be seeing an engagement ring soon"

"Mom" I whined, this is embarrassing.

" Sorry honey, too soon? Don get over here"

" Hi Rylen, call me Don. I still can't believe Gerard found someone as beautiful as you though" My Dad teased.

" Thank you- " I interrupted Rylen before she could say anymore.

" Dad! am I that horrible to look at?"

" Just teasing son. You did inherited my looks afterall" My Dad bluffed, leaving me laughing awkwardly.

" Well let's start with dinner, come on Rylen" My mom added whilst pulling Rylen with her.

Rylen P.O.V

" Dinner was lovely mrs.way I mean Donna"

" Thank you honey, okay everyone give Rylen, Gerard and I some privacy" Donna had requested.

" thanks for dinner mom, let's go guys, I just bought Donkey Kong" Mikey thanked his mom and advertised my all time favorite game. Appearently Ray's favourite game too, because he jumped up and ran to the basement, his amazing afro following behind.Gerard's mom spoke as they all left.

" so, how did you guys meet?"

" At the art gallery, Gerard had shown me around and I just thought he was the most amazing person I'd ever met" I lied, I couldn't tell her that I met her son in nothing but his boxers, at 9 a.m

" wonderful, he had always loved art, when did you decided on becoming roommates?" She inquired

" uhm, well we dated for a month and we just couldn't stand not being together so I asked Rylen to move in with me" Gerard answered.

" she must be graceful at home, cook, cleans, laundries" Donna continued as if seeing me actually doing chores. Gerard starting to laugh, don't tell me he's gonna tell her everything.

" mom she is gracefull, but chores...... nah, I do most of it" Gerard! that monster.

" Really ?" She asked, surprise written all over her face and ashamed on mine.

" Not that it's a bother, I like taking care of her to be honest mom. I like waking up and get warm welcomes by her unmentionables in our bathroom" Gerard joked. Sarcasm in his tone and all over his face. He was getting back at me. I'll definitely keep my clothes in my dresser from now on.

" oh you too are just cute, don't be embarrassed Rylen I still love you" Gerard began laughing and continued to sip his coffee. It's already noon and yes, he drinks coffee at any given time of the day.

" so when was the first kiss?" Gosh my entire stomach did a backflip, I answered.

" well. the night I met him, He walked up to me and..... pressed his lips to mine and I think it was that was the greatest thing I'd ever felt." I spoke truly about the night he kissed me. I felt self- concious at the moment. I noticed Gerard was smiling, why?

" that' s beautiful Rylen, so when did you have sex?" She asked smoothly,startiling Gerard as he spat the coffee from his mouth.

"Mom,come on" Gerard whined,I suddenly started to blush, I wish I could hide under a rock now.

" Don't be shy, you both are young adults, I expect it from you and want to make sure Rylen doesn't accidentally get pregnant" She summed up

" Mom we....uh....um.we.....Rylen..uh. Mom!"Gerard whined again.I decided to answer. self-consciously of course.

" We haven't done it, yet" Did I just highlighted the word yet, Gerard must think I'm a weirdo now.

" Really, Gerard? well when you decide to experiment promise to tell me" Donna stated looking both of us directly in the eyes.

" sure mom...what ever, we' ll just head to the basement now to check out that new game..okay, bye" Gerard said quickly, then grabbed my hand and tugged me to the basement.

At least that's over. But I just had a slight feeling the basement would be much worse.
