chapter one

keep me close

everyone was on time and everything was set up to start working on the next album. Gerard and frank had ideas for songs with all of the late night chats and walks they went on while on tour they never left each others sides. they had notes on some things their new songs could be about.

" Okay guys lets start on this album. i hope the fans like it as much as our last one" frank said with enthusiasm

"i know Frankie we all do that tour was so much bigger and we are gaining more and more fans. its so exciting" Gerard said agreeing with frank

frank blushes when he hears Gerard call him Frankie and starts to think "why do i feel like this around Gerard? since we got closer i cant stop thinking about him"

and Gerard felt the same of course. but there is one problem... before my chem went on tour Gerard had broken up with Bert. he was highly abusive and stalked Gerard most of the time. Gerard would never tell frank how he felt because he knew that Bert would want pay back for the break up and leaving him behind.
The band talk for hours and come up with ideas for new music but mostly talk about how amazing the tour was and how great it is going for the band.

"hey we have been at this for a while how about we pack up and chill at my place? have a little celebration for being back?" Gerard suggests hiding the fear in his voice. he did not want to be alone as he knew Bert would know he was home and might try to get him

" Yeah sure that sounds awesome " Mikey agrees with his brother
" As long as theirs alcohol " Ray says
" classic Ray, count me in " bob says giving Ray a friendly punch in the arm
" yeah sure ..." Frank says quietly. he knew exactly why Gerard was doing this. Gerard told Frank everything that had happened to him in his and Berts relationship. and he was worried. he didn't want someone to hurt HIS Gerard.

The guys pack up everything and start to walk to Gerards house. its a half an hour walk but no one minds it. Ray, Bob and Mikey are all walking ahead talking about the music , movies and drinks they will be having once they get there. But frank walks behind Gerard noticed so walks with him.

" hey whats up? " Gerard asks concerned putting his hand on Franks shoulder.
"Nothing" Frank replies coldly
" come on frankie i can see something is wrong... don't shut me out" Gerard pleads. he cant stand to see frank upset.
" I'm worried about you Gee.... i don't want you to be alone at your house... ever.... i don't want that monster to hurt you again... you are my best friend and i didn't see that you were in pain when he was hurting you. i wasn't there for you. But i am now.. And i sure as hell will not let him do that to you again" Frank tears up and just stares at Gerard with his heart pounding wondering what Gerard would think of what he just said.
" Wow .... Frankie ..... that was not your fault. you can't blame yourself for me being weak and not standing up for myself. besides i won't be alone tonight. i have you" Gerard said blushing and putting his arm around Frank.
" your right Gee . you do have me " Frank blushes and snuggles into Gerards arm.
they catch up with the others trying to act normal but they were both blushing and staring at each other.

20 minuets later and they reach Gerards house. they get the celebration started. music on, drinks made and pizza ordered everything is going great and everyone is having a great time.

" Mikey!!" frank shouts and waves at Mikey who looks over and Frank signals him to come over and talk.
" what is it frank? you look worried" Mikey asks concerned
" I am Mikes...." Frank says sighing
" Don't worry Frank. Gee is safe with us. More safe with you than any one else... I know your in love with him frank ..." Mikey admits and tries to comfort Frank.
" W-what? " Frank is shocked and just stares at Mikey
" come on dude we all know it . i don't see why you don't tell him you guys would be amazing together."
" I-I-..... i couldn't do that... he doesn't feel the same and even if he did he wouldn't want Anything to come of it because of Bert" Frank tears up
" That won't hold him back forever Frank.. trust me Gerard won't let anything come inbetween him and the person he loves"
" Your right Mikes... I should tell him ... I'll do it tonight ... thanks dude" Frank hugs Mikey and they join the others and party

There is a knock at the door
" I'll get it ... it will be the pizza" Gerard shouts and goes to the door
"hello Gee .... you miss me?"

" B-B-Bert ??? "
