A Chemically Weird Romance

A Chemically Weird Romance 17

-Frank's POV-
Two weeks before graduation. Everybody at the time had been doing things for the last time and getting ready for prom. I, on the other hand, had been getting ready to ask Gerard to the prom. People seem to make the last two weeks of high school the saddest, when in reality, it was really a good thing. No, not just because high school is over. It's a good thing because it's a new beginning. A time where we all know we are becoming adults, gaining responsibilites, gaining knowledge, and most importantly, gaining a new chapter in our life.
As I walk into school with my BMTH Bloodlust shirt and my black jeans I realize that I may not be dressed in an appropriate attire to ask Gerard Way to prom.
"Eh, screw it." I mutter to myself as I see Gerard near me.
"Frank!" Gerard shouts happily as he hugs me.
"Gerard!" I smile.
"I like your shirt."
"As do I." I suck in a deep breathe before I look Gerard in the eyes, "Prom?" I ask nervously.
"Prom?" Gerard asks, raising his eyebrows.
"Yea, I thought you'd—"
"Of course, baby.
"But—"
"I thought you didn't like prom. Of course I'd go to prom with you. Who do you think I am? An idiot?"
"No, I—"
"Sh. Let's just kiss. This is usually the time where I shout out 'Yes' gleefully and give you a happy kiss."
"Well, I don't mind." I say as I bring my lips to his. God, no matter what this will ALWAYS feel right. Even if some homophobic dickwad comes up to me and tells me this is wrong it will sure as hell feel right to me.
"God, I'll always love our kisses." I tell Gerard.
"So will I." Gerard reaches out his hand for mine as we walk to my locker so I can grab my books and head out to my classes.
"I'll see you later?" I say as I hear the first bell ring.
"Yea."
"Love you."
"Love you, too." I walk away and into my first class.
"Frank!" My mom shouts from the front door.
"What?"
"It's from the University, Frank." I suck in a deep breathe for what seems to be the millionth time.
"It-I—"
"Open it." My mom says as she hands me the envelope.
I stare at the envelope for what seems to be hours until I finally get the courage to open it.
"I-I—"
"You?"
"I got accepted."
"Oh, honey, that's great."
"Mom, no it's not."
"Why not?"
"It's like 2,000 miles away."
"It's a good Un—"
"Oh my god. Gerard."
"Don't worry about Gerard."
"Mom, I don't want to lose him."
"Honey—"
"No, I need to tell Gerard." This all made me realize that the relationship of Gerard and I can go in so many ways. Too many I don't want to think about. Thinking about it all makes me phone Gerard.
"Gerard, we need to talk."
"About?"
"Something, I just need you to come over as soon as you can."
"I can be there in seven minutes."
"Ok, hurry." These seven minutes can officially be labeled as hell. I guess after your seven minutes in heaven you get seven minutes in hell. Before I knew it, though, my door was opening to reveal the one and only Gerard Way.
"What happened?" He asks, looking at me expectantly.
"I-well-I got in."
"In?"
"I got in the university, Gerard, I'm going to Los Angeles."
"What! About what about us?"
"I-but—"
"No, don't. It's good that you're going. I'm extremely happy for you."
"Really?"
"Baby, of course. I'm not going to selfishly take away your education all because I'm going to miss you."
"Please don't."
"Don't what, baby?"
"Don't make me regret going to Los Angeles. Don't baby me."
"But why California? What is so great about California."
"Nothing, I just want an education. Gerard, it's not to late to send—"
"No, I already know which art school I'm going to."
"Where?"
"Chicago."
"Ok, so we'll be a bit closer."
"But not close enough."
"Gerard, we need to just focus on certain things right now. Like prom in a week and graduation the next week."
"But—"
"Plus, we have a couple months after to focus on each other and catch up on things and—"
"What if we don't make it."
"Don't say that, Gerard, we will."
"But—"
"Listen, Gerard. I'll love you no matter what happens. If you die, I'll love you. If you go away, I'll love you. If you end up hating me, I'll still love you. You just need to trust that things happen for a reason."
"I know, I just want to be with you forever."
"And if I can't physically be there, I'll always be right here, in your heart."
"Ok."
"I love you. A lot."
"I love you too."
"A lot?"
"More than words can put it."
"Are you sure?"
"Whenever am I not sure about you?" I giggle. I just.. I really hope that this all works out.

Notes

Short, I know. I've been really tired lately and that has made my writing worse than it originally was :(
Anyways, I hope you've enjoyed what you've been reading so far and get ready ;)
