Only One Way

Both me and Mikey were startled awake by the sound of Gerard playing video games rather loudly. "What the fuck Gee?" A sleepy Mikey asked. "Oh, sorry did I wake you two up?" Was that jealousy in Gerard's voice?

"Uh yeah you kinda did, and it was kinda rude." Mikey shot at him, I glanced to see Gerard's reaction and saw something much worse. He saw me staring and pulled his sleeves down, covering up all the bloody, swollen, fresh cuts on his arms.

"Holy shit." I gasped, Mikey didn't hear me but I'm sure Gerard did because he crossed his arms over his chest. "C'mon Frank let's go upstairs." Mikey said, glaring at Gerard. "Y-yeah, okay." I replied following Mikey upstairs to his room,I glanced back at Gerard and saw two tears rolling down his face and more threatening to follow.

god he was so beautiful, he had this pleading look in his eyes that made me want to hold him and tell him everything was going to be okay, but instead I went up to Mikey's bedroom before Gerard could notice me staring. Mikey was already asleep when I got up there and I crawled under the sheets, but I wasn't so lucky as to get back to sleep. I was too worried about Gerard, but I couldn't go to him, not with Mikey in the house. I looked up at the ceiling and let out a long sigh.

I woke up to the smell of pancakes the next morning,I must have finally fallen asleep last night, but it was definetly not a good night's rest. All through breakfast I kept exchanging awkward glances with Gerard as Mikey talked away.

Eventually it was time for work (thank God) and I left. The work day went by slowly and it was about time to close, I was just sitting there trying to figure out all these stupid feelings when Gerard walked through the door.

"Oh hey Ger-" but I couldn't finish because he pushed me up against the wall and started kissing me, hard. What's crazy is I started kissing him back. We stayed just like that for a few minutes, just making out, when he suddenly broke away. "Fuck, I-i'm so sorry. I j-just, don't tell Mikey, please." "Gerard i-" but he interrupted me again. "No! just d-don't tell Mikey, I can't hurt him."

He looked up at me, tears in his eyes, then practically started sprinting outside. I stood there wondering what the hell I was gonna do next, then decided to follow him.
