Only One Way

I heard Mikey shuffling around downstairs at around ten. I rolled out of my bed and headed downstairs, tired from last night.

"Good morning " Mikey said, eating cereal at the table. "Hardly" I muttered back, and it was a terrible morning, besides knowing the fact that I was gonna see Frankie, but we'd also find out if something else was wrong with him, and while I hoped for the best, I expected the worst.

"Eat some cereal," Mikey motioned to the box of frosted flakes on the table "then we'll head out."

i finished one bowl of cereal before brushing my teeth and heading out to the car so we could go and see Frankie, and worry together.

"Do you think Frank will be okay?" I asked Mikey, as he pulled away from our house. "I'm, I'm really not sure Gee but I really hope he is."

I reached to turn the radio on and we drove the rest of the way to the hospital in silence.

franks POV

i kept checking out the windows and looking at the door to check if they were here yet. And after fifteen minutes of me doing that, they showed up.

"Gee! Mikey!" I yelled and ran into their arms. They seemed hesitant at first, like they were worried they'd hurt me but they soon squeezed harder.

"Are you okay? Both of them asked at the same time.
"I'm fine, just glad you guys are here." I hugged them again and when I let go Gerard started examining my face.

"I'm gonna kill him." He muttered and I placed my hand over the one he'd set on my face. "Gee, it's okay I'm alright." Though it wasn't entirely true, I kept waking up last night from nightmares about what Bert did to me.

"I don't care," he growled, "he touched you without your consent, he, he raped you. He'd said the last part in a whisper and I grabbed his hand.

He started crying and fell into my arms, and I started crying too, for both of us, then for all three of us. We've all had such shitty pasts, but we lived through it and the same will go for whatever happens now.

A nurse appeared at the door and after a moment she spoke "Excuse me, we're ready for you mister Iero." She said and i broke away from Gerard, fear visible in his eyes.

"Okay, let's do this."
