Lonely Hearts Club (Sequel comming in June/July)

It Was Just An Oridnary Day, Until It Wasnt.

The undeniable truth was that Gerard was stuck. Stuck on the mundane stressful roundabout that he called 'life' and he really wanted to get off. Just stop living. Not dying exactly; he just wants to stop breathing and experiencing and being alive. He doesn't want a break from life he just wants it to stop all together. The fact was that he was stuck and he couldn't do anything about; because dying was giving up and sure that's essentially what he wanted but he couldn't give up on everyone who was rooting for him. Gerard was bottling in all this emotion and sometimes it would sneak out, bubble, erupt. He would burst into fits of emotion, endlessly painful emotion and he had to hide it. Push down the lid. Hide away from the world until he's calmed down and it was all caused with his tiredness. He was tired with life and living and breathing.

Gerard didn't necessarily have a bad life. He had his mum and brother and his friends and he was happy. Well he made sure they thought he was. Inside his head was one big escalating tension which at one point would explode into something. Gerard just hoped nobody was caught in the cross fire. Gerard wasn't suicidal he didn't think he was anyway, he was just fed up with life and thought maybe death would be better. But he would never end it because he knew how it would effect his family. He knew death would stop the building of tension the bubbling emotion. He felt selfish when he thought about it. Death. He just didn't want to exist anymore. He just couldn't deal with how everyday was the same. Repetitive.

He got up at 7am, brushed his teeth, got dressed, had an argument with his brother about who was picking the radio station on the way to school, got knocked about for six hours, avoided eye contact with every human who wasn't Ray, Patrick or Mikey, came home, ate dinner, homework, video games, bedtime and then whole process started right back up again.

He couldn't deal with it. Maybe he needed a break from school. Maybe he needed to leave that place. Luckily he only had another 9 months left and then he was free. Then his routine would change. He didn't like change, not usually, but maybe that's what he needed. Change. He just never expected it in the form of a small punk kid with the tattoo on his neck and a guitar hanging off his back.

The day was Monday the 5th of October and the time was 6:59am. Gerard lay awake and staring aimlessly at the intricate patterns which festered and dented his ceiling. He was waiting; waiting for the clock to click to seven for it to erupt into a buzzing frenzy to alert him that the day had started and he had to get up. He had been waiting for three hours for the alarm to sound. He couldn't sleep, not with knowledge of what was happening today. Today was the day that was just like the day before and the day after. It was Monday and school and Mikey being bitchy and probably using up the rest of the cornflakes just to piss Gerard off. He thought, bitterly, about the day a head and how it was going to be just like every other day. Gerard turned his head quickly towards the clock as he realised that it had been longer than a minute it read '6:02'.

'Shit!' He whispered, sitting up quickly and rubbing his eyes. He must've read the time wrong. He did think that 5 o'clock had went by quickly. He had an hour to kill before his daily routine started. 'Maybe I should do that homework that's due today' he said aloud to the empty room. He picked up his school bag that lay beside his bed every day and grabbed his homework. It didn't take long for the hour to pass and for Gerard's alarm to break him out of his algebra filled haze. He clicked the button and slipped out of bed and making his way up to the kitchen. Mikey smirked up at him munching greedily on the last of the cornflakes. Gerard huffed at him and shuffled over to the counter and poured himself some coffee and slumped beside Mikey at the breakfast bar.

'Mum's in the shower and I'm in next.' Mikey said through his mouth full of cereal.

'So you get to eat the cereal and use up the hot water?' Gerard snarled impatiently gulping down the steaming hot drink burning his tongue and throat, but he didn't care he just wanted to prove a point. He banged the mug down in he counter top and ran down into his basement room to get dressed. Gerard felt different today; so he dressed that way. Black ripped skinny jeans and his new band T, black flag, his black doc marten and a checkered shirt. He stared in the mirror and he looked good. He pushed his hair back into a slight side quiff thing which he actually suited. Finally eyeliner, under the eyes and then smudged slightly. Done. Mikey burst into his room with only his boxers of and a towel around his hair and started rushing around throwing things and mumbling curses under his breath.

'Where are they Gerard? I've turned this house upside down and I asked mum and she said she hadn't seen them.' Mikey said, out of breathe and looking on the verge of a breakdown. Gerard smiled into the mirror knowing exactly what Mikey was freaking about.

'First of all, what on earth are you talking about? Secondly, please put some clothes on!' Gerard shrieked shielding his eyes from the horrendous sight. Mikey turned towards Gerard. He looked angry, of course he was, Gerard stalked up the stairs with his rucksack on his back and dug his hands into jean pocket.

'Please Gerard, you can't do this to me.' Mikey begged him, Gerard pulled out of his pocket a white wire and dangled it in front of him.

'Is this what you are looking for? You see you stole my cereal and used the hot water and I just thought that you didn't deserve these.' Gerard walked out of his room and to the front door and smirked at the sound of Mikey's frantic footsteps after him. Gerard made his way outside and turned towards his brother standing at the door.

'Gerard please' Mikey couldn't move from his spot, if he did he would be arrested for public indecency. He could feel the cold air and he couldn't stay out for much longer, but he needed his earphones.

'Every music lover-slash-social recluses one daily essential. His idiot blocker.' Gerard moved backwards further and further down the front garden and further away from Mikey. 'Oh the sadness, imagine trying to make your way through the entire day without these,' Gerard was swinging the headphones in front of him and laughing. Laughing so much he didn't notice when the pavement had ended and that the road had began. All that Gerard can remember before he was forced to the ground was Mikey shouting his name and the screech of tyres on the road.

I think it might've been the April fools/craft one, because all I remember about uploading this was that it was in the Easter break. I'm super happy that you are excited about the sequel! I, myself, am really looking forward to getting back into writing all my fics again! One exam left then I'm back! Haha
