After staring at the door for two minutes my head snapped back into reality, I felt something burning on my hand, I quickly darted my eyes over to my hand
"Ouch!" I whispered
When I was staring at the door someone bumped into my coffee and it went mostly over my hand. I stood and walked into the bathroom quickly going to the sink to run my hand under coldwater. My hand stung out of shock of the sudden cold water but slowly became soothed. I looked up and looked at my looming reflection, my long hair had several streaks of blonde and black that looked completely natural against my dark brown hair and my almond shaped greenis-blue eyes. I brushed a bang behind my ear before going back to my table, I walked out of the grey bathroom and saw a small but slouching girl sitting at my table. I smiled almost immediatly
"Hi Enzie!" I called out
Enzie turned quickly and smiled back at me, her wavy hair bobbing slightly as she did so, but I noticed something out of the blue. Her color-changing hazel eyes were covered in a pair of sunglasses
"Hi Lola, what's up?"
"Nothing, why do you have the sunglasses?"
"Why not?"
I didn't like that anwser, I rushed over to her and reached for her strange sunglasses
"Hey what the hell are you..." she started
I pulled the glasses off to reveal a giant purple bruise on her right eye
"What the fuck happened to you?" I whispered
"Nothing, it's not important"
"Come on Enzie, we're going home and when we get there you're going to tell me what's up"
Enzie grumbled some German swear words as I pulled her through the door of the coffee shop
"I told you it's nothing!"
"It's not nothing Enzie"
I pulled her along as we followed our normal route home
"God damn it Lola, I told you it's fucking nothing!"
I pulled her faster as we got closer to the familiar blue house, I shoved her inside and locked the door
"Sit down, you're going to tell me what happened"
"Holy fuck you're stubborn as a bull!"
"Tell me"
"Fine, there's a new kid, his name's Frank and I saw Tony about to beat him up"
"That doesn't explain the bruise"
"Let me finish, anyway. I charged at him and I told Frank to run, he did and Tony punched me in the eye several times"
"So you stood up to the new kid, and he ran off leaving you to be beaten up"
"Well.."
"You know I don't care, I'm going to make dinner. Go drone out to your music"
"You sound just like mom" she said as she went into the hall
"It's my job, sister dear"
she scoffed and ran down the stairs into her basement lair, soon I heard the satisfying sound of loud music as she continued to rock out. I pulled out some ramon noodles and frozen vegetables and started making dinner
