Perfect, by The Smashing Pumpkins

Gerard had to drop his brother at the train station, so he gave Frank the keys to open. Pushing open the door, Frank turned on the lights and the radio, before flipping the open sign.

Walking over to the counter, he logged into the computer, making sure that there were no new releases today. Hearing the jingle of the door, he saw the mailman.

“Hey Frank.” He smiled handing him a stack of mail.

“Hey Tim, hope its not too cold out there today?” Tim shrugged.

“Eh, not too bad, see ya tomorrow.” He called before leaving. Looking through the mail he saw an advertisement for Optimum, addressed to Gerard Way-Baker. Way-Baker! Frank dropped the mail. Now his stomach hurt; he had feelings for a guy who was married. Where was this Baker man? He’s been to his apartment and there was no sign of another person living with him.

Staring out into space for God knows how long the bells jingled again. Waking up, Frank saw his boss walk through the door in all smiles.

“Mail, uh, came, I didn’t look, uh I mean.”Gerard laughed, taking the mail, seeing the advertisement. His smile dropped.

“Oh, your probably-“

“Not if you don’t want to tell me.” Frank said. Sighing Gerard came behind the counter with Frank.

“I use to be married. I have been divorced for almost four years. Um, his name was Joey Baker. We were married for two years. Uh, he use to abuse me. After the first year. I thought I was so in love with him. But the last night he hurt me my brother came over and saw me on the floor in a bloody mess. He got me out of there; he helped me file for divorce and I changed my name back, but the cable bill use to be in my name so that’s why it comes like that, that’s how I am in their system.” Frank felt a lot better; he even felt more for him than before. “But I’m not with him anymore, I don’t even know where he is; we use to live in Jersey, that’s why I came here. I’ve lived here since the day we were completely divorced, and I saved up for this place. I got a good chunk out of the divorce, but that’s because I made most of the money so, he didn’t get much. But I teached for a while and than this summer that just past I quit when I signed the papers to open this place.” Frank smiled, grabbing Gerard’s hand.

“Two different situations, but feel completely the same way.” Gerard nodded, humming.

“Yes, that’s why I want to help as much as I can.” Frank bit his lip.

“Come over for dinner tomorrow; I bought a new kitchen table yesterday and I wanted to brake it in.” Frank smiled.

“Yes, you need me to bring anything?” Frank shook his head.

“Nah, just be over at 8:45, I’ll cook us a late dinner. Sound good?” Gerard nodded.

“Very good.”

Frank was almost done with a pesto pasta and a big hardy salad. Frank set the table quickly, until he heard a knock at his door. Running past the full-length mirror, he looked at himself quickly; he looked, eh, black button down, with dark jeans and red converse, his hair was actually brushed and he didn’t have too much eyeliner on. Opening the door, Gerard looked drop dead gorgeous; he was wearing a black and white plaid shirt with supper tight jeans that looked like he painted them on. Frank almost died right there.

“Uh, hey, welcome.” Frank stood to the side as Gerard walked in. Nodding, Gerard approved. The futon that Gerard bought him was the couch with a T.V in front of it. In the corner were the kitchen, stove, refrigerator, and a sink. Nothing special, just what he needed.

“It looks good, I’m guessing you bought a bed?” Gerard smiled, handing him the cans of coke he brought over.

“Yea, I did, small full size bed.”

“I hope you don’t mind me bringing soda over I don’t drink alcohol.” Frank nodded.

“Perfectly fine, and I hope you don’t mind there being no meat served for dinner, I’m a vegetarian.”

“Perfectly okay.” Frank smiled, throwing him a coke. “I really like what you did to the place, you even painted.” Gerard smiled, sitting at one of the chairs at the kitchen table. The younger man started plating the food.

“Yea, just white, I may buy some posters, give it some color, ya know.”

“Defiantly.” Gerard agreed. Handing him a plate, Frank sat down with his own.

“I hope you enjoy; how’s your brother doing?” Frank asked taking a bite of his food.

“He’s good, working hard in school.” Gerard moaned in pleasure, and that went straight to Frank’s groin. “This is so good, Jesus, how about you bring whatever you cook for dinner to the shop; we’d save so much money. You really are a great cook.” His boss shoveled some more pasta into his mouth, laughing Frank nodded.

“No problem Gee.”

They were full sitting on the futon watching a little T.V auguring about comic books and superheroes. Laughing, Gerard watched Frank, his eyes clouded over in lust, desire. He just wanted to make Frank laugh all the time. Frank looked over at him, slowly stopping his laugh.

“What?”

“You are just really beautiful.” Gerard blurted out. Jumping back, He was shocked he said that. “Oh my- I can’t believe I just said that, I’m so sor-“

“You are too, so beautiful.” His employee whispered; his face was stone. Frank kept his eyes on Gerard as he reached for his boss’s hand. “You are the most gorgeous man I’ve ever met. But that’s not all; you are brave, strong, and the kindest too. And your ex husband is an idiot for hurting you. He didn’t deserve you at all.” Frank squeezed his hand. “I know, um, that you’re my boss and I can’t really feel this way about you, but I do and I can’t get you out of my head. If I need to res-“ Gerard framed his the younger man’s face with his hands, kissing him, hard. Both sighing into the kiss, Frank moved closer, he was practically on top of his boss. Pulling away, Gerard felt dizzy.

“You are not going anywhere, not without me.”

“So it’s-“

“I feel the same way.” Gerard smiled. Biting his lip, Frank leaned closer, grazing his lips onto Gerard’s, not exactly kissing him.

“So I can be-“

“Be mine, all mine.” Gerard half moaned, letting his hands run up Frank’s sides.

“Yes.”
