Take a good hard look

-Time lapse 3 years-
I sat in my living room, depressed and lonely, Gerard was over seas, and I was alone. I flicked through the channels hoping to find something good, and jumped when my phone started ringing, I looked down and picked it up.
''Hello, Frank speaking'' I paused the TV and stood up. ''Hey Frankie, it's me, Gerard, I just wanted to let you know I'll be home in a month, my flight got delayed'' He explained, sighing through the phone. ''Yeah that's fine, I do miss you though.'' I sighed, impatiently.
''O- Frankie, I have to go, I need to go on stage'' his soft voice left my ear. I threw my phone across the room. Since he was a guitarist now.
I sat in silence, waiting for someone to call, or text me, but nothing goes my way. I checked the time, soon noticing I had to pick my little girl up from school. I got my coat and car keys and stood outside the door, feeling the breeze kiss my skin, softly. I got into my car and started driving to lily's school. as soon as I arrived, she was waiting at the front gate with her teacher. Mr. Fuentes. ''DADDY'' She screams as she runs up and jumps in my arms.
''How was school?'' I asked, kissing her forehead. ''It was good, Mr.Fuentes was teaching us how to build with blocks today!'' She chuckles and jumps out of my arms. I saw Mr.Fuentes walk up to us. ''Mr. Iero, I am very happy with your daughters intelligence, Tell ya what, we have a parents night here next week, I am hoping that you can bring your wife and enjoy a few glasses of wine, and look through what your daughter is going to be learning?'' He spoke, politely. ''Uhm... Y-yeah, sure..." I pick lily up, before she runs onto the road, ''Okay, see you next friday, I would be pleased if you could attend'' He waves after walking away. I put lily in her car seat and clipped her in, and started the car. ''Daddy, can we get ice cream'' Lily points to the ice cream truck that drives past. ''Maybe tomorrow'' I smile.
