The Kids From Yesterday

Chapter Thirty Three - The End.

FRANKS POV

We all sat in Gerard's living room, considering my proposal. As I'd told everyone to do, we'd a brought our equipment like guitars and amps. Gerard had his mic ready.
"Well, you're all amazing at your instruments..." Gerard was considering it, I knew he was.
"Yes, and you're the worlds greatest singer." I reminded him.
"How did you-?" Gerard started, confused.
"Oh. I heard you in the shower. You were amazing." I grinned at him, and he blushed and smirked. "What were you singing?"
"Oh, this song I wrote called Early Sunsets Over Monroeville."
"Sing it again!"
"Well... Okay." He half smiled, and sang those beautiful words again. We all had goosebumps.
"That..." Ray began, "was amazing. You know, I think I know which chords would be perfect for it."
He played a few chords while Gerard sang, and me and Mikey watched in awe.
This was the beginning.

~13 YEARS LATER~

FRANKS POV

The stage was the hottest it had ever been that night. Sweat was poring down my forehead, I could feel the hair sticking to my face, and my clothes sticking to my body. My legs were killing, my back was aching, my throat was sore from screaming. My fingers felt like they were about to fall off as I strummed the last chords of our song Helena. I stared out at the crowd, the huge, unimaginably large crowd, as Gerard's voice faded and the beat of the drum stopped making the stage vibrate, the bass notes stopped pounding through my heart. I looked over at Gerard, Ray and Mikey. They all looked back at me. I felt so much affection toward them right now, as I remembered briefly everything we'd went to to get here.
Mikey's depression. Gerard's alcohol addiction. My stomach problems. Rays alcohol addiction...
But also the good times. Christmas spent with these guys in the van, sat in our bunks throwing presents to and fro. Drinking, eating and watching movies on the couch. Our high five routine before every gig. That one gig in 2006 when everyone kept throwing shit at us and we carried on, later laughing at it. Going home to our families after a long tour to see their smiling faces. Getting tattoos on our days off (well, the others watching me get tattooed). Eating at fast food places, signing fans merch, countless interviews. The best times of my life.
We did it.
