You, Me, And The Apocalypse

Gerard's P.O.V

I woke the next morning feeling some kind of warm heat next to me. I opened my eyes slightly to see Frank spooned up against me, I smiled at the thought of yesterday...I kissed him, I actually did it, I didn't have a strong desire to, it's undeniable that I like him more than I should and that I liked the feel of his lips on mine. All of a sudden panic shot through me, we didn't lock the door while we were sleeping, this was the first night I'd slept since the apocalypse started without locking it. Shit I thought to myself, we could have all been killed, I then realised Mikey wasn't in the room, FUCK FUCK FUCK. I had sworn to my parents that I'd protect him no matter what, I couldn't have failed already, I would jump in front of a bullet for him. I shot up and grabbed my gun leaving a confused and sleepy looking Frank.
"What?" He spoke in a sleepy morning voice, just then his bottom lip started to tremble, "Did I do something wrong?" I could see the panic spread through him as he curled up in a ball.
"No Frankie, you didn't do anything wrong" I knelt down next to him and he flinched a little which I was take back by, "Just we slept with the door unlocked and Mikey isn't here, I panicked and I'm going to look around the house for him" I stroked his hair back and he softened to my touch.
"You're not mad?" He looked down again.
"No, why would I be?" He looked up at me with his big, sleepy eyes.
"I just thought...because I was cuddling with you and I ummm....." I sympathized with him and stroked his cheek.
"Frank it's okay, It was nice, look I've got to go and see if Mikey is alright" He smiled at me sweetly.
"Okay, go look for him" It looked like he was going back to sleep and I was satisfied that I could leave him now, I pressed a gentle kiss to his forehead carefully then rushed off out the room.

I walked round slowly keeping my head half turned in case I did encounter any zombies because they're sneaky little fuckers. I looked around in the kitchen seeing no signs of movement or life. I had pretty much checked everywhere when I saw a light from the bathroom glowing. I walked up to it slowly knocking on the door lightly.
"Mikey?"
"Gerard?! Oh thank god, I'm fucking locked in." I laughed, here I was worried he had been attacked by a zombie and dragged away from me but nooooo he was fucking locked in the bathroom..
"Alright hold on, I'll shoot the lock" I pointed my gun at the lock shooting it off and opening the door to see Mikey standing there red with embarrassment.
"Sorry, I didn't want to wake you guys and got stuck in here...I have to admit, I never thought you'd find me"
"Mikey you were locked in a bathroom...we fight zombies everyday, this is not looking good for our zombie killing cred" He smirked at me as I ruffled his hair.
"Sooooo, are you and Frank a thing now?" Of course.....
"I'm not sure, I wouldn't mind being a thing but I understand if he doesn't want to" I pulled Mikey towards the kitchen and got us both some left over pancakes.
"So where is he?"
"I think he's fallen asleep again, I was so fucking scared because we didn't lock the door last night" Mikey dropped his fork with the pancake on it.
"Gerard....you do realise you've literally left Frank...in a room on his own...without the door locked and no protection" Oh shit.
I heard an ear piercing scream followed with "GERARD, GERARD!!!" That was followed by another scream.
Mikey and I both rushed from the kitchen upstairs as I heard the gruesome noise that we only know too well was from an angry zombie, I heard Frank sobbing and screaming my name over and over again.
"I'M COMING FRANKIE" I had tears spilling from my eyes run down my face as I ran to him as fast as I could while I just kept hearing the sobs and screams coming from him.
I heard one last scream and then silence, the worst came to my mind as the door was locked and I couldn't get in.
I'm coming Frankie.
