Look Alive, Sunshine

It had to be a dream, Glass Aconite constantly mumbled to herself in her sleep. How could she have successfully escaped Battery City, fled the tyranny of BLI, and managed to meet two of the Fabulous Killjoys? It was all too miraculous to be true.
Nevertheless, she woke up, wrapped in her leather jacket and huddling in a faded vinyl booth. The fabric from its sides had been shedding at an increasing rate, and it was covered in a fine layer of sand and dust. Glass rubbed hard at its surface in hopes of finding its original color, but the many layers of dust and spray paint prevented such efforts. Reluctantly, she turned to face the metal table, when she came face to face with Party Poison’s gun. She had forgotten to give it back, and found her own, causing her belt to bulge. It was real. The gentle hum of radio static mingled with the sound of gentle guitar chords, leading Glass outside.
The diner stood alone in the desert, adding to the silhouette of the sun-scorched earth. The neon letters that had once illuminated and advertised were drained of their color, and many of them had fallen on the ground or the roof. The building itself, once garishly bright and colorful, was covered in graffiti and scorched by the sun. Glass beamed when she saw Fun Ghoul standing several feet away, and she ran to join him. He held an off-color Frankenstein mask in his hand.
He smiled. “You alright?”
Glass shrugged. “I think so. I just still need to get used to all...this.” She stretched her hands out, gesturing towards the flat seared plains before them. “It’s weird. This all seems impossible.”
Fun Ghoul sighed. “You live out here, then you get used to it.”
“Fun Ghoul! Who’s the new kid?” a voice behind them asked. Glass turned around swiftly, and there were two men standing there. One had a red leather jacket and skinny jeans. He was gripping tightly to a large motorcycle helmet. The second had a black leather jacket, a blue gas helmet, and incredible masses of curly hair. A white electric guitar was slung across his back. The girl was considerably younger than Glass-she couldn’t have been more than seven or eight. Several cords and wires hung out of the pockets of her colorful jacket, and there was a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Fun Ghoul smiled again. “This is Glass Aconite. Picked her up by Battery City.” For an instant Glass considered saying something, but remained silent with her hand stuffed in her pocket. She hoped her gun and mask would say enough. “Glass, meet Jet Star and the Kobra Kid.”
Suddenly, a small girl ran to join Fun Ghoul, wrapping her arms around his waist.The girl was considerably younger than Glass-she couldn’t have been more than seven or eight. Several cords and wires hung out of the pockets of her colorful jacket, and there was a mischievous glint in her eyes.
“What were you doing in Battery City?” Jet Star asked quietly.
Glass sighed. “I lived there. They wanted me to take...the nirvana medications…” Kobra Kid grimaced.
“Did you?” the girl asked, looking up at Glass. It was the first time she heard her speak.
“What? No…” Glass started. “Fucking hated that place. There’s no way I would have…”
The girl smiled, and suddenly grew excited as a new silhouette came over the sandy horizon. “What is it?” Glass asked. She saw the Killjoys grinning. Party Poison came running closer and closer towards the diner, wearing a large, slightly bloodstained Mousekat mask, carrying his yello ray gun proudly.
“Party Poison’s back,” Kobra Kid said proudly.

There's not a lot going on in this chapter, except for introducing the rest of the Killjoys...
but don't worry! I've been planning out the rest of this fic (so responsible)!
Some parts of the plot will follow the music videos, but I will also be adding my own ideas, as well as possible references to the EP....
