We're Damned After All, Aren't We?

"He's Mine."

After about 10 minutes of arguing where to go and small talk, we pulled up to a old, run down diner. We both got out and Frank took the lead while walking in.

We picked a booth and sat across from each other. Soon, the waitress came to our table and asked what we would like to drink. Frank let me answer first, which was "coffee, black please." She wrote it down and looked at Frank. He responded "the most alcoholic beverage you have." She scribbled it down and said "I'll have those right out." I gave him a unbelievable look. He noticed and said "What?" Sounding defensive. "Alcohol? Its 1 pm." Frank rolled his eyes and said "its never too early to enjoy yourself. And it's not like you know, Mr. Too young for alcohol." I laughed and said "I'm 23." Frank looked away and said "You look like you're 17, Jesus Christ."

As Frank was looking around the diner I realized how cute he was. He was short, but not so short it was hard to maintain eye contact without him getting a sore neck, His black hair stood up perfectly, and his tattoos fit him perfectly. His eyes looked like a beautiful yellow when the sun hit them perfectly.

The waitresses voice brought me out of my trance as she set down our drinks and asked for our orders. I was so mesmerized by Frank, I forgot to even look at my menu. Frank said some fancy stuff for what he ordered and I just told her the same thing for me.

after the waitress left Frank burst out into laughter. I gave him a questioning look and he said "How could you have not noticed? She was totally checking you out!" I immediately felt a bluch creep up my checks and said "Really?" Frano shook his head yes. I said "Well it doesn't matter does it? Im still gay." Frank said, "Oh cmon dude, she's hot." I absentmindedly said "So are you." My eyes went wide and I slapped a hand over my mouth. Frank faltered and seemed caught off guard. He quickly put back on his "I don't care" persona and said, "You're not to back yourself, kid." I groaned and said "Gerard." He sighed and said "Gerard."

The waitress finally came back and dropped off our orders. We sat in silence as we both ate. The food was okay, but not gourmet. I had finished mine in under 5 minutes and Frank wasnt even halfway there. I chugged my coffee and was still hungry.

After quite a long time, Frank finally finished his meal, he left a 20 on the table and we walked to his car. Then drive home was fast and quiet.

When we got there I opened the car door and stepped out. My foot was still a little sore so I was sure not to put too much pressure on it. I walked into the house and watched as Frank headed back into the bathroom.

After a couple seconds I heard him yell "Dammit Gerard. You got blood all over my white towel." He walked out holding the towel he used to clean me up. He looked at me expectantly, "Hey, you were the one who used the towel, not me." That's when Frank started to rant about towel prices and how the econemy had gone to shit, when I noticed a car pull up to the house. Franks house was in the middle of nowhere so this was odd.

While we was ranting I interuppted him, "Who's here?" He seemed taken back by that and quickly was at my side looking out the window. He looked genuinely worried and said "Bad news, that's who." He quickly walked to the front door and stepped outside.

I knew I probably shouldnt have, but I followed him. 2 people got out and stood about 25 feet away from Frank, who was standing a few feet from the porch, where I was standing. The taller of the two was the first to speak. "We know you have the boy. Give him to us." Frank honestly looked confused. "I'm not sure what you mean but the only other boy here isn't going anywhere." I felt my cheeks get warmer as he said that. The shorter one spoke next, "I don't want to have to take him from you." Frank quickly said "Why do you want him?" The short one spoke again, "I'm suprised you don't know. Everybody wants him. Someone put a very high bounty out for him."

That seemed to make Frank tense up.

"Well, he's not going with anyone." Frank said. The taller one said "I guess we'll have to use force." Frank sighed and said "I guess I will too."

Within seconds Frank was at the taller ones side, he had punched him square in the jaw, and used the mans confusion to knee him in the stomach. The shorter one basically pounced on Frank but he swatted her away like she was nothing. He put his foot on the talkers back and pushed his foot down, and even I heard the snap of bones breaking. I was so shocked that Frank had just killed another person to protect me. The shorter one took a swing at frank, but he grabbed her arm and bent it the wrong way, her scream was gut wrenching. He eventually kicked her legs out from under her and delivered a kick to her head, which was fatal. Right as he finished, the car they had came in roared to life and was going down the road in a matter of seconds.

I heard Frank yell "Fuck!" And turn around and run towards me. When he got there he looked at me and said "We have to go, now." I was still in shock he had killed two peoole. I gave him a confused look as he ran around the house grabbing random objects and shoving them in a bag and asked "Why?" He didn't answer but instead grabbed a big duffel bag and walked out side the house. He walked over the garage and for a unknown reason, ripped the garage door right off its hinges. He carried the huge piece of metal and leaned it against a free a few yards away.

He walked back in the house and was in there for about 5 minutes. When he came back out he took a match book from his back pocket and lit one. I was about to tell him right now wasn't the time for a smoke, but instead he threw it into the house, and it lit up immediately.

He quickly walked over to the duffel, and grabbed a can of black spray paint. He walked over to the garage door leaning against the tree. I used this time to say "Who were those guys?" He was busy writing something with the spray paint, but when he turned to me he said "I have no fucking idea." He grabbed the duffel bag, and threw it into the now fire covered house. He yelled "Get in the car!" To me. I decided now wasn't a good time to argue and listened. As we were pulling a way from the house, I looked at the garage door and finally saw what Frank had written on it. In bold black letters, the garage door said "He's mine."
