Sammy has been Frank’s best friend since high school started. He loved everything about her. Her touch, voice, dimples .. he couldn’t bear to lose her in any way. He thought about dating her, but knew the end result would make him lose her forever. Frank nuzzled into her jacket. Sammy and him were laying out on the bed, looking up to the ceiling. She said in awe, “I can’t believe you’re dating Gerard Way .. you’re like, an inspiration.” She almost smiled, “I see why you didn’t want to .. you know-with me. Because you had a chance with Gerard.” She frowned, “I guess I could understand that.”

Frank murmured, “Yeah, but he wants to keep us a secret until I turn 20.”

Sammy scrunched up her nose, “I don’t see what the problem is, you are 18-you’re legal.”

Frank looked down, “Yeah, I know ..” Frank sat up on the bed, “Do you think maybe I should just let us be a secret? For his sake? I don’t know, maybe I’m just being selfish.”

Sammy shrugged, “Maybe .. I think you should keep it a secret .. just until he’s ready. I mean, he could probably change his mind.”

Frank smiled a bit, “Yeah, okay.” He looked at Sammy, “Thank you for being here for me .. we should hang out soon.” He grinned, “I hear there’s this sweet party that’s happening downtown. We should go.”

“I don’t think it’ll be safe.”

“Downtown isn’t so bad.” Frank chuckled, “There’s just a lot of homeless people there-we’ll be fine. I’ll call you later.” He gave Sammy a quick hug, “I better head home before dark.”

Sammy called after him as he headed out, “Call Gerard too!”

Frank’s eyes fluttered open. He’s staring at me with a small smile formed in his lips. He giggled, “Good morning.” His hazel eyes shone, making my heart flutter. I smiled as well, “Good morning.” Frank was everything to me. I’m admiring him-god, he’s so beautiful. He wrapped his arms around me and mumbled, “I don’t want to go to school .. I won’t see you all day.”

I frowned, “Don’t worry .. I’ll come again after school after 11 p.m.”

Frank stopped writing and placed his laptop away in his backpack. It’s friday morning, tomorrow will be the day for the block party. He had already set the plans with Sammy and Gerard-but Gerard denied the request. As sad as it was, Frank didn’t let it get to him. He learned to understand. He and Gerard talked things out, and Gerard begged Frank to be careful.

Frank looked down to his phone.

6:54 a.m
I promise to be careful, mom. Haha.

6:56 a.m
You better be! :)

Frank giggled before tucking his phone away in his jacket. He felt especially happy today. Steven wasn’t bullying him anymore, he got his best friend back, and he had the best boyfriend in the world. He trotted down the stairs, “I’m going to school!” He called before leaving out the door-his body shivered in the cool air. He knew it wouldn’t stay this weather for long, but it still surprised him. Frank pulled out his phone and texted Gerard.

To: Gerard <3
7:02 a.m.
It’s cold outside, hope I make it to school. ;)

Frank walked down the sidewalk. He heard his phone vibrate. He took glanced from Gerard’s text and to where he was heading.

From: Gerard <3
7:04 a.m
Cold in LA? Don’t worry, hon. You’ll make it.

Frank smirked.

Sammy caught up by Frank’s side, “Hey, hey! I heard we have a surprise test from Fitz-well, not a surprise test anymore.”

Frank groaned as he tucked his phone away, “You’ve got to be fucking kidding me. He barely taught the lesson once! We didn’t even do any practices.” Frank sighed, “I’m going to fail .. again.”

Sammy patted his back as they walked, “Why not get a tutor?”

“I should .. but I’ll just feel even more stupid than he already makes me feel.”

Frank rubbed his temples as he stared down at the math problems. He flipped it around, seeing the full amount of 20 problems. He tucked in his lips, feeling the stress piling up on his shoulders. Should he guess? These are multiple choice .. but how was he going to show his work? Frank glanced up, seeing someone’s paper in sight. He bit down on his nail, deciding whether to copy or not.

Frank shook his head to himself. He couldn’t cheat.

The class time had passed so quickly, and Frank tried his hardest but only managed to finish 5 out of the 20. He felt so stupid. He handed in his paper to Fitz who noticed the emptiness. Fitz murmured to Frank so no one else could hear, “Meet me during lunch, Iero.”

Frank slowly nodded before heading out the door. 3rd and 4th period went by so fast, and soon it was already lunch. He walked back into Fitz’s classroom and sat on the other side of the desk. He stared at Fitz who stared back. Fitz asked, “Are you aware of your grade, Iero?”

Frank shook his head, “I’d rather not know.”

“You’re a senior. You should know. You have a D.” He added in, “It is passing, but you would have to repeat this class in college.” He sighed, “Iero, I don’t want to be cross with you. I understand math is hard but you never ask when you don’t understand something.”

Frank smirked, “Yeah, because you always make me feel dumb. You’re not aware of your actions and words, knocking someone down when they’re wrong.” Frank looked away, “That’s why I don’t ask.”

Fitz tucked in his lips, “I’ll make a deal with you, Iero. I won’t call on you during class and I will be more aware of my words only if you go into the library during lunch and study.” He stretched out his hand, “Deal?”

Frank almost smiled, “Yeah, deal.” He shook Fitz’s hand. Fitz’s grip was strong, but his hand felt bony. Frank pulled away, “I’m gonna go eat first then head to the library.”

Fitz smiled, “Okay then. I’m glad we had this talk.”

Frank gave him a one-nod before heading out the door. He pulled out his phone and texted Gerard.

I’m hoping to get my grade up in math...wish me luck.

Luck! :) You’ll do great, baby. I can’t wait till you come over.
