My Ferard Romance

Gerard pov

I can't believe that I -Gerard's Arthur Way- am still in this dorm. I mean it's not that I don't love NYC it's just that I haven't really had a real friend in a long time, except my baby brother Mikey, he's awesome.

Sometimes I wish I was one of those people who could walk up someone and be instantly friends. But that's not my realality, I'm an introvert. All I do is stay in my dorm almost all the time and either draw comics, eat or sleep. Except for when I have classes; then I'm forced to leave.

My roommate Ray, he's nice, it took a few months before we became casual friends, and he respects my introvertedness. And he is one of the only people who know my little secret. Well I'm gay, plain and simple. Ray know and isn't weirded out and respects that.

I haven't really had a date since high school, and I'm already a junior in college.
Ray is one of those people who has quite a few friends.

I just found out that my baby bro is coming to visit me tomorrow. And we can catch up on his life as a senior in high school and I can't wait.

~The Next day~
"Gerard get up! Your late" Ray yells at me as I'm waking up.
"Your supposed to get your brother in 20 minutes" he explains.
"Oh shit! I over slept" I said.
As I quickly put on some decent clothes and slip on my shoes, I run out the door and try to get to the ferry port before Mikey does. And just as I walk up to the port I see the ferry he's on.

"Mikey!!" I said excitedly.
"Gee!!" He said back.
"So how's school going mikes? " I ask.
"Alright, same as always..." He said.
"...but if you don't mind Gerard, I don't want to talk about school it's spring break" he explained to me.
"no problem, mikes. So how's it going? Any girlfriends?" I ask jokingly.
Although I'm gay, Mikey respects that and he's cool with it. He was the first person that I came out too. Mikey is straight and that's fine I respect his choices.
"No, not really, I mean I have a friend who is a girl but just friends" he says.

We we walk around the city and get lunch, then I take him back to my dorm. I introduce him to my roommate Ray, and they seem to get along. And is ok with Mikey staying in our dorm.

Amoung the conversation Mikey remembers something.
"Gerard I forgot to tell you, I have this friend and I think that you'd be good friends with. I told him all about you, and he wants to meet you." Mikey says.
"Oh that's sweet of you but I don't think he would want a 22 year old." I said to him concerned.
"Sure I already told him that your older than us, and he's cool. He's gay too. " Mikey said gesturing to me.
"Mikey, if I didn't know any better it seems your trying to set me up?" I said kind of sarcastically.
"You bet" he says back winking at me.
"Mikey what makes you think I want to date your friend, I don't even know who he is?" I said explaining to him.
"Gerard, you've been moping around this dorm for years, and you don't really do anything but draw, I want you to be happy, besides you haven't dated since you were in high school, it's time you get out there and meet someone." Mikey explained to me.
"Awe, thanks Mikey, your the best, but still I don't know who he is" I said to him.

At this point Ray has left to hang out with his friends.

"Then I'll tell you as much as I know about him, if that makes you feel better about this." Mikey said.
"Alright, give it a try" I said.

As Mikey is explaining his friend I can't help but to dream about him now. His name is Frank Iero and he lives in Belleville, New Jersey, where I grew up, and where Mikey and my parents still live. Anyway, Frank is the same age as Mikey, which is 18, and he plays guitar in a garage band called Pencey Prep, he loves punk rock music, he had a few tattoos and some piercings. He has black hair with blond on the sides.
"So gee, want to meet him" Mikey says snapping me out of a day dream.
"Oh, um, sure why not" I said kind of confused.
"Great!! I'll text him to tell him to meet us in the city in two days" Mikey said enthusiastically, as he whips out his phone to text Frank the news.
"Why two days Mikey?" I asked to Mikey in a confused way.
"Because I still want to spend time with you Gerard" Mikey said.
