He's Not Dead, He Only Looks that Way.

"How old are ya, son?"

Frank was lost. He didn't know where he was going. He never did pay attention to where Summit's direction was. He wish it were as easy as one long road to Summit, but there were many turns to take. If a person took the wrong road, they'd end up somewhere else. Frank was very cautious but wanted to follow his instincts. He just decided to wait patiently for a car by the two roads that led into different directions. He glanced at his cane and wondered what it could do to help.

He brushed his finger against the sphere, letting off a soft white glow. Frank paused suddenly, hearing a ignition from the distance. He shot his head up to see an upcoming car heading toward his direction. The car came to a creaky stop next to Frank. A man in his late 40's grinned, "Ya lost?" His southern accent was thick. Frank inspected him. He had vaguely straight yellow teeth, stubs on his chin, and dark brown eyes.

Frank slowly nodded, "I need to get to Summit."

"Well, I could take ya. There's a possibility I might have to pull over for a pit stop on the way .. are ya okay with that?"

Frank didn't like this guy. He reeked of cigarettes and alcohol. Frank felt weird knowing that this guy was trouble-he wasn't even sure how he knew. Frank glanced around, hoping to see another car come by. There was none. He did not want to wait another two hours or longer for another car to come.

Frank sighed, "Yeah, yeah-that's fine."

Frank made his way around the car and opened the passenger door. He climbed in and sat down before shutting the car door behind him. The ride from there was quiet. Frank tried not making eye contact with this stranger. He kept looking out the window. Even if Frank was trying not to look at the stranger, the stranger was looking at him. He was inspecting him, taking glances at Frank's soft skin and thighs. His eyes would often glance at Frank's lips and hazel eyes. He was getting sweaty from lust, "Imma take a right aroun' here." He added in, "My name is Theodore, how bout' you?"

Frank lied, "I'm Thomas."

"Well, Thomas, pleasure to meet ya." He grinned.

Frank shifted in his seat, uncomfortable. His grip on his cane tightened in fear. I should have just stayed out longer he thought as he inched closer to the car door as if it would keep him safe. The sphere grew warm and Frank could feel it. He thought maybe it was just him, but it wasn't. It was the cane, ready to protect its new owner if any harm come to him.

The car pulled off the road and onto a small parking lot to what seems to be a bar. Frank could remember the first bloodthirsty kill Gerard had made in front of him. It was a different bar from chapter two, but it looked quite similar. The car stopped and the ignition turned off. The two sat in silence until Theodore said, "This might look like a bar for older men but it's not. You can come in. It's more like a club."

Theodore made his way out of the car and Frank followed, not wanting to stay in the reek smell of the car. He followed close behind Theodore who asked, "How old are ya, son?"

"16." Frank muttered.

Theodore grinned to himself, "You're mighty big-so what are you doing messin' aroun' with that cane, hm?" He chuckled, "I don't thank your back's hurtin'."

Frank rolled his eyes but didn't respond.

Theodore was biting at his lower lip, “I suppose ya don’t have to say anything. We all have our dirty little secrets.” He chuckled to himself as he and Frank approached the door of the lighted up club. Theodore opened the door and Frank hesitantly walked in after him, immediately spotting older men and teenagers his age. The teenagers and younger boys were shirtless, crying as older men were groping them. Before Frank could adjust it all, the door slammed shut behind him. Theodore locked the door quickly and stuffed the key in his jacket pocket.

Theodore announced, “How lucky am I to come across a cute little boy as yourself, hm?” He inched close to Frank who clug onto his cane in fear. Theodore hushed him very softly in attempt to calm him down, “No need to be alarmed. If you do what I ask ya to do for these mighty fine gentleman, we won’t need to make rash decisions and ya can get your pretty little ass into Summit without any marks on your cute little body.”

Frank stood awkwardly before feeling the cane vibrate in his hands. He stood there, staring into the eyes of Theodore until a white light blinded everyone in the club. It even blinded Frank, causing him to stumble back and hit his back against the door. He shut his eyes as he heard screams. When the light had faded, Frank slowly opened his eyes. The first thing he saw was blood on the walls, making his body cringe in sight. He can feel his heart pounding against his chest as he reached for the handle-it wouldn’t open. He tugged at it, noticing right away it was locked. He bit his lower lip as he faced the dead bodies which seemed to have been torn open. He made his way to Theodore’s bloody body and searched through his jacket, taking out his car keys and a key which seemed to be for the door.

Frank glanced up, noticing a small boy around 7 or 8. Frank’s heart fell as he walked over very slowly to get a better look. He bent down, looking at the soulless open eyes of the boy. Did the cane do all this? He could have not done this internationally .. well, now that Frank thinks about it, he [was] scared. Frank got up and ran out of the club. He frantically unlocked the car and got in. He knew how to drive well, so it was no problem for him. He can feel tears forming in his eyes as he glanced over to the cane that rested on the passenger seat.

He cried as he drove down the isolated road. He quickly reached over and turned on the radio at high volume, to drown out his crying and the things he saw and possibly did.
