Friends Aren't Easy To Make, But Lovers Are A Different Story
Should I Be Feeling This Way?
Frank's POV
Two days had passed since the drama class fiasco with Gerard, and I was walking to his house to work on the play. Since we didn't do anything the first day, Gerard told me to come over so we could get caught up. He gave me his address because he couldn't drive me to his house after school, as he was picking up his little brother Mikey from the middle school. I double checked the address he had texted me and then once I was sure this was it, I started walking up his long driveway. His house looked kind of small, but in a cozy way. Plus it was painted a cute red color. Not that I care, though. I still think he's an asshole.
I knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer. A blonde, nice-looking lady answered the door.
"Hello, young man. You must be Frank." She stepped out of the way before inviting me in. "I'm Gerard's mother, but you can call me Donna. Gerard's in his room, probably waiting for you. Just go up those stairs and take a left." Then she chuckled. "Gosh, he's told me so much about you! Anyway, I better get back to the kitchen. Have fun!" Donna called as she headed down the hall to the kitchen.
He's told her so much about me? I nervously climbed the stairs and once I was at the top, I took a deep breath and knocked on his bedroom door. After hearing a faint "come in", I opened the door and stepped inside. Gerard's room was painted black and band posters plastered the walls. Gerard was sitting on his bed holding a notebook and pen.
"Hi Frank." he greeted. I couldn't help but notice that he looked really cute. Like adorable. His bright red hair was fell perfectly and complimented his glittery hazel eyes. He had on black skinny jeans and a Pierce The Veil shirt. He apparently also has great taste in music judging by his shirt and the many posters that covered his walls. But I am NOT falling for him! I'm just noticing things.
"H-hey Gerard." I stuttered. Fuck. He patted the bed, motioning for me to sit down next to him. I awkwardly sat down on the edge of his bed stared at my shoes.
"So, um, I'm really sorry about what happened Tuesday. I was being a dick and taking the project way to seriously. I think your a pretty rad guy and you're not that terrible at acting. Can we just start over?" Gerard asked. Now it was his turn to look at his shoes.
I grinned at him and said, "Yeah, I think I'd like that," I hesitated before adding a nickname "Gee."
Gerard shyly smiled and said, "Thanks, ...Frankie."
