To Write Love On His Arms

As Gerard made his way downstairs he ran into Snippy.

"Hey Geeman!" Snippy held out his hands signaling for a hug.

"Hey Snippy, what you doing?" Gerard hugged Snippy.

"Just going up, my buddy wants a high before he goes to school." He gestured to the upstairs, smiling like he was higher than a kite.

"Oh, that's nice. Not a lot people get to do online schooling, huh?" Gerard asked, looking at Snippy.

"Nah, he wanted to but his parents didn't want him to be locked up in a room. But, I'll see you in a bit. Oh, do you want this brownie? Sort of like a happy birthday present from me." He winked. Knowing Snippy, he put the good old weed in there.

"No thanks. I'd like to take my classes sober." Gerard smiled.

"Okay, Gerard." He laughed and started walking up to the third floor.

Gerard walked downstairs and was surprised with a loud 'Happy Birthday!'. "Oh, thanks guys." Gerard said quietly.

"Did Snippy give you anything?" Norah asked him, one of the therapists here.

"Oh no. I wouldn't like to get high on my birthday or go to class like that either." Gerard looked at her then looked behind her shoulder.

"What?" She looked behind herself and back at Gerard.

"Just thought I saw a weird shadow. It was a shadow but it's from the coat thingy." Gerard pointed to the coat rack.

"Coat thingy, Gerard?" She looked as if Gerard was kidding but he seriously didn't know. He just nodded and played it cool.

"Hey Gerard!" Dylan called out for Gerard as he was in the kitchen.

"Yeah!?" Gerard left Norah and walked towards the kitchen. "What's up?"

"After you're done with your classes, do you want to go hangout and put that money to use?" Dylan asked as he was making waffles.

"Sure, those waffles are for me, right?" Gerard asked, eyeballing the waffles.

"Just because it's your birthday doesn't mean I'm making you waffles."
“So, they're not mine?”

“Ugh, if you want waffles, just ask.”

“Okay. Yo D, can I get some waffles?”

“Sure thing Gerard.” He smiled and started to mix some waffle mix.

“Cool, well I'm gonna go get my messenger bag and we can talk. Okay?”

“Okay.”

Gerard left Dylan to his waffles and went back upstairs. As Gerard was upstairs in his room, he heard a familiar giggle. He looked up at his roof and focused his hearing upstairs.

“Give me another hit.” He heard Snippy's voice.

“Nah, find your own weed.” He heard an unfamiliar voice.

“Bitch, I gave you that weed.” Snippy's voice echoed.

“Fuck off, I'm going-” Gerard stopped listening once he knocked over one of his things from his desk.

“Shit!” He yelped as he quickly grabbed a paperweight his grandfather gave to him.

Fortunately, Gerard's not-so-good reflexes caught it. Seriously though, Gerard doesn't have good reflexes so he is very fortunate that he didn't drop that thing. Who knows, it could have broke through his floor. Once Gerard put the thing back, he notice that it was silent. He listened to the roof but he didn't hear anything. He shrugged and then took his messenger bag, that held his most prized possessions, his fucking sketchbook. Along with the necessary art supplies.

“Yo Gerard! Your waffles are ready!” Dylan screamed and Gerard walked out of his room.

“I'm coming for that D!” Gerard yelled as he quickly made his way down the stairs.

“I'm taken and I don't find you attractive Gerard. Sorry.” Dylan replied as he set down waffles on the dining room table.

“It's all good, you're not what I go for anyway.” Gerard smiled as he took a bite of his waffle.

“You're such a weirdo.” Dylan nudged Gerard.

“I know, but after this where we going?” Gerard asked.

“First, we are going to pick up my boyfriend and then we'll go into the city to go shopping.” Dylan explained as he took bites of his waffles.

“Cool.” Gerard chewed on his waffles.

Great way to start off his morning.
