Begging Let Me Be Your Taste Test
"Frank?" I opened the door and it revealed a disheveled Frank.
"Gerard, holy shit. Are you okay?" He put both his hands on the side of my face looking into my face.
"I'm okay." I held onto his wrists.
"Come here, Gee." He pulled me into his arms and held me.
I felt my face get warm then I shut my eyes. Frank held me close and then my cheeks started to feel wet.
"I know baby, I know." Then my heart thumped against my chest. He kissed my head and we swung in the hall way.
I woke up on my bed and looked around. Was it a dream? Then I heard a crash coming from the kitchen part living room. I got out of bed and walked towards the ruckus happening in the other room.
"Frank?" I looked at him fixing bowls and plates in the cabinet close to the fridge. Boy, would I love to wake up to this everyday.
"Hey Gee, you're awake." He looked at me, smiling,
"Yeah, obviously." I rubbed my eyes and sat at the table next to a wall that covered most of my living room.
"So, I didn't know what to do until you awakened. So, I decided to wash your dishes." He pointed to the dishes that he had cleaned.
"Oh, thanks, I guess." I got up from the table.
"No prob-" I hugged him from behind, "problem."
"Uhm," I stepped back, "Sorry." I unwrapped my arms.
"It's fine. It felt kinda nice." He turned around and smiled. That smile is going to be the death of me.
"Okay, well do you mind telling me how you got here so quickly?" I asked while still facing Frank.
"Oh, well you told me this familiar place, which turned out to be the place where I lived and then all this shit was happening down the hall. You called me and then I just pieced everything together taking a wild guess. I so happened to be in the right place at the right time. My bed." He finished explaining, sounding very proud.
"Okay, Frankie." I walked towards my coffee machine. "You want some coffee?"
"Sure, two sugars and like a little bit of milk." He answered.
"Chill." I turned the coffee machine on and waited for it to brew.
"So, uh-"
"Where did he go, what did you do?" I interrupted him, looking at him.
"Well, I walked in and he started to attack me but I sort of had to throw a few punches. I also had to like grab around his neck and push him the other way. But, I pushed him towards your door and he got up and left. I was surprised that I could handle someone older than me."
"Oh, well he's 19, so he's not that older." I let the words slip off my tongue.
"He's 19 and able to drink?!" He sounded surprised.
"He probably gets drunk from his dad's booze or something, I mean he must use my money for something. He also would usually show up at my house doing God knows what." I explained.
"Why didn't you tell the police or something?" He asked.
"I thought I loved him at the time and he loved me back. I wasn't thinking, just wanting him to love me the way we used to love each other." I responded.
“Gerard, you guys have been together since high school right?” Frank asked.
“Yeah.” I nodded and took some coffee from the coffee pot.
“Well, he most likely changed. People tend to change due to their surroundings and who is surrounding them.” Frank started explaining as I handed him his coffee.
“But he lives alone at his apartment.” I said.
“Well, it might be college. He might be hanging around those type of people. Has he experienced any abuse or bullying?”
“No, people always left him alone. He said that he never was abused by anyone.” I answered, to be honest this is the first time I thought hard about Bert while Frank is in my presence. I wanted to forget him and everything but Frank wants to talk about this. Maybe he just wants to help.
“Well, I know this is uncomfortable but I want to help you Gee.” I looked at him, his face showed with concern.
“I just don't want to talk about him right now.” I showed a half assed smile.
“Okay, we can talk about aliens or dogs.” Frank smiled as he took a sip of his coffee. “Or how amazing you are at making coffee.”
“What is good with me.” I smiled.
“But before we do, I want to try this again.” Frank leaned in and connected our lips.
There it was again, that feeling. My heart started to beat fast, as if I was dead and I was now being resuscitated. There was passion behind this kiss, just like the last one. Our tongues colliding for a few minutes and then we started to lose our breaths. I wanted to part but it felt too good to stop. Frank then stopped the both of us and he smiled.
“It's too early for all this tension, Gerard.” Frank commented.
“Sorry, well at least I made you hard.” I gestured to his tight pants then looked at him. He covered himself and his cheeks became red.
“Shut up!” Frank whined and we started to laugh, I love that laugh of his.
