Rebel love song

3rd chapter

My alarm clock went off at precisely seven o’clock – way too early in my opinion. I groaned and got out of bed, stepping into the bathroom to take a shower. I put on my Misfits T-shirt, black skinny jeans and some eyeliner. It’s not the best choice for first day on new school, but what else did I have left? I dragged myself upstairs and poured some coffee, which I desperately needed. My mom was already up and ready for work. “I would drive you but…” “You have to go to work. I know. It’s okay.” I said. “You’re golden.” She kissed the top of my head. “Good luck today, sweetie.” She said and left the house.
I considered making some toast, but I was too nervous to eat. I gave Jack and Ruthie a kiss goodbye and left.
It took me about 15 minutes to get to school. My mom told me I should go to secretary’s office for my schedule and my locker number and code. The school was full of people. I didn’t even know there were this many kids in our town. I noticed Alan, surrounded by people and holding hands with his girlfriend. He raised his eyebrows at my appearance and I saw him say something to some guy next to him. I started walking faster. Where am I gonna find the secretary’s office here? Shit, I’ll have to ask someone. “Um, excuse me…” I stopped a black haired girl. “Where’s the secretary?” “Upstairs, right next to the staff room.” She said and walked away before I could thank her.
I somehow managed to find the secretary and got my schedule. “So your first class is English. You have that with your class teacher, Mrs. Peterson. You must go to classroom number 18. That’s in this floor. Good luck!” I left her office and tried to find classroom 18. I managed to find it two minutes before the bell rang. I sat down next to a guy with really curly brown hair. “Who are you?” He asked me. “Frank. I’m new here.” I said and reached over to shake his hand. “Ray. I’m old here.” He smiled. “If you want I can show you around the school a bit during lunch break.” “That would be great. Thank you.”
After English I had two hours of calculus. I noticed Ray is in that class too, so I sat down next to him. “You don’t mind if I sit here, right?” “No, it’s cool.” He smiled and opened his book. The teacher for calculus turned out to be really strict and I didn’t understand a word he said. I thanked coffee for keeping me awake during those two boring hours. Finally it was time for lunch.
Our school had three floors, with the third one being music rooms, spare classrooms, art classroom and a balcony looking down on the football stadium. The second floor was just classrooms. The first floor was flooded with lockers and some more classrooms, a gym and the cafeteria to which Ray was heading right now. “You can sit with us if you want.” He offered. “Ray! Where were you, bro?” A short, ginger boy called out. “I was just showing Frank around school. He’s new here.” Ray explained. “Hi Frank, I’m Sean.” He grinned and turned back to Ray. “Dude, Ella and I have been looking for you forever! Come on, there’s only 30 minutes left!” “Okay, just a second. Frank do you want to come sit with us?” Ray turned to me. “Don’t go. He keeps on flirting with his girlfriend. It’s disgusting. I can take it because I’m ginger and I have no soul.” He laughed. “Don’t listen to Sean, he’s an idiot.” Sean punched him in the shoulder. “Actually I think I’ll go find my locker. I’ll join you guys later.” “Okay.”
It took me about five minutes to find my locker. I put some of my textbooks in it. I still didn’t know what to do. I didn’t want to go to the cafeteria and sit with people I barely knew. Besides I wasn’t even hungry. But I still went for the sake of making friends and everything. It didn’t take me long to find Ray’s table. I sat down next to Sean, who greeted me with a fistbump and a smile. “This is Ella.” He looked at the girl with light brown hair and green eyes, sitting next to Ray. “Ray’s girlfriend.” He whispered very loudly and Ella smacked him on the arm, laughing. “That hurt!” Sean said with a fake pouty face. “I didn’t even hit you that hard!” Ella protested. “It hurt in my heart!” “What heart?” Ray laughed. “Zip it, princess fro fro. Your girlfriend’s a maniac.” He said, causing Ella to choke on her water. “Yeah but she’s my maniac.” Ray said and pressed a kiss on Ella’s forehead.
I looked around the cafeteria. All of the tables were taken, with kids sitting around them and talking. But something fell in my eye. Someone, to be exact. There was a guy, sitting behind the table in the very corner, alone and drawing. His black hair was falling in his eyes and he was wearing an Iron Maiden T-shirt. I could not see his face because he was looking down. But then he glanced up and I saw he was wearing eyeliner, like me. And he had the most perfect face in the world. “Who’s this guy over there?” I asked Sean when he started drawing again. “Um I don’t know. I think he’s in some of my classes but I don’t know his name.” “Who?” Ray asked. “That dude over there. With black hair.” “That’s… Gerard… Way, I think?” Ella said. “We’re in Art together.” Oh so that was the guy Alan was talking about. “Wait that’s the guy everyone’s telling us to not make friends with?” “Alan told you that too?” I asked. “Alan Winters?” Ella lowered her fork. “From where do you know that guy?” “He’s my neighbor.” “You’re neighbors with Alan Winters?” Sean asked in disbelief. “Yep. He doesn’t seem like a nice guy.” “Dude! He’s like the richest bitch in this school!” Sean was still in awe. “I still don’t know who told you not to be friends with Gerard Way.” I said. “It’s like a school rumor. That if you become his friend, bad things will happen to you.” Ray explained. “That’s stupid. I’m going over there.” I said, pushing my chair aside. “Okay.” Ray shrugged.
I walked across the cafeteria, my legs slightly shaking. I never approached anyone else like this, but it felt now it was necessary. “Hey.” I said and sat down next to Gerard. He looked up from his sketchbook, a look of surprise on his face. “Who are you?” He asked. “My name is Frank. I’m new here.” “What are you doing here? You’re not looking for friends, I saw you talking to Ray Toro before. So why are you here?” His voice was flat. He obviously didn’t have much people talk to him. “Well I saw your shirt and it’s awesome.” “Thanks. I’m Gerard, by the way.” He closed his sketchbook. “And I also like your shirt.” He said, looking at my Misfits shirt. “And your tattoos. Not quite a fit for this school, right?” He smirked. “If you weren’t in senior year and new here, you’d probably get suspended. Now they’re just gonna tell you to cover up.” “Well I can’t exactly cover up the scorpion on my neck, right?” “Right.” He smirked again. “So why are you in this crap of a school?” He asked. “We moved.” “That’s shit. Hey Mikey.” He nodded at a kid who sat down next to him. “Hey. Who’s that?” He looked a bit like Gerard, but had brown hair and glasses. “That’s Frank. The new kid. Frank, that’s Mikey, my brother.” “Hey.” Mikey said. “Hey.” “So, enjoying your first day of school?” Gerard asked him. “Yeah it’s delightful!” Mikey said sarcastically. “Well I’m glad you’re enjoying it.” “Some guy from sophomore year already told us not to hang out with you.” Mikey scoffed. “I bet you 20$ he doesn’t even know who I am” Gerard laughed. “I got told the same.” I said. “Ray Toro isn’t exactly the guy to be telling people these stuff.” “It wasn’t Ray.” “Who was it then?” Mikey asked with his eyebrow raised. “Alan…” “Winters?” Gerard asked and I nodded. “The man himself.” “What’s this whole thing about?” I asked. “I’ll tell you sometime later. If the rumors don’t get you away from me by then.” He smirked. Yeah like that’s gonna happen. Even though he seemed like a sarcastic ass, I liked him. And he was cute – although also probably straight. “I don’t tend to believe rumors.” I said. “I like him already.” Mikey arched his eyebrow towards Gerard, who shot him a look.
After lunch break I had Chemistry and so did Gerard. “Nice. You have chemistry with me.” He said, smirking. Nice choice of words, Gerard. I looked at him and saw he’s done it on purpose. “Yeah. Cool.” I stammered and looked down. He scoffed. What an ass.
We spent the time until the beginning of class in silence. I didn’t know what to do so I texted Amy.
TO Amy (11:23): New school is okay. Boring without you.
“Is that your girlfriend?” Gerard said, eyeing my phone. That’s fucking rude! Didn’t anyone tell him not to look at other people’s phones? “Um no.” I said. Amy and I were often mistaken as a couple, so I was used to it. “Not really into girls.” I added, looking away. “That’s what I thought.” He smirked. The teacher came and we stepped in the classroom. I sat down next to Gerard.
I tried my best to concentrate in class, but it was really confusing and I didn’t understand a thing. I suddenly got a note on my desk.
But just out of curiosity, who is Amy? - G
I sighed and looked at him.
Didn’t anyone tell you it’s rude to look at other people’s phones? – Frnk
Didn’t anyone tell you it’s rude to text while hanging out with other people?
For some reason I had to bite my lip to stop myself from laughing. He was right though.
Good comeback. Amy is my best friend.
His reply didn’t come for a long time, but when it did, I saw a bunch of numbers and something scribbled on the bottom of the paper.
The teacher is looking. Switch to text.
I looked around. We were sitting in the back row, Gerard by the window and me behind the desk next to him. The teacher wasn’t paying attention to us at all. I smirked to myself.
TO Gerard (11:59): If you wanted my number you should’ve just asked ;) xofrnk
I thought it was a bit risky sending that text, but then again I was also beginning to reconsider my earlier assumption that he was straight.
FROM Gerard (12:00): My way is cooler
TO Gerard (12:00): It really isn’t
I smirked and he shot me a look.
FROM Gerard (12:01): It is
I looked at him and shook my head. “You’re rude.” He mouthed. I smiled and started paying attention to our teacher.
***
After chemistry I didn’t have any more classes with Gerard. I had one with Ella and Sean and one with just Sean. The rest was spent with people I didn’t know. None of them spoke to me and I didn’t speak to them. How fun!
When school was finally over, I bumped into Mikey. “Hey Frank.” He smiled. “Hey Mikey. Where’s Gerard?” Remind me, why did I have to ask this question again? “In the parking place. He’s waiting for me in car so I have to go.” He waved and turned around. “Okay, bye!”
Overall the first day on my new school wasn’t as bad as I expected it to be. I guess I could make that one year, right?

@ThatPolarBear
it's a phan (dan howell and phil lester) fanfiction and it's actually good but let's just say
it's the first time I've ever wanted to murder phil.

@petewentztheemogod
For one week and I know it's a short time but I really wanted to write it and then I realized that one week is too short to start dating someone so that's one of the reasons why I did the gee ignoring frank thing.
Also I haven't read that one yet, is it good?
