Rebel love song

1st chapter

I stared out the car window as the world I knew disappeared before my eyes. I still couldn’t believe that I would never go to my school again or eat shitty sandwiches in the cafeteria or walk Ruthie and Jack in our local park. If my mom ever comes back here again, I won’t be with her. I am starting my senior year in some Christian school with a bunch of kids I don’t know and teachers looking at me like I need Jesus. And after that I’m off to college.
“Are you excited?” My mom’s voice snaps me out of my thoughts. “Excited?” I glare at her. I know I shouldn’t be acting like this but I’m really angry about the whole moving thing. She accepted this job in the middle of nowhere and she thinks it’s perfect but I know this will be like the last job; lots of stress, working overtime and still having financial troubles. “Come on Frankie! It will be fun!” She said, drumming her fingers on the steering wheel. “Yeah, okay.” I scratched Ruthie behind her ears to make sure if she was okay. Poor thing never liked car rides. She would always start whimpering whenever she had to go into a car and for long car rides, like this one, we had to give her pills to calm her down. My other dog, Jack, on the other hand, was all in for car rides. Or anything really. He was currently sitting in my lap and trying to stick his head out of the window, but kept forgetting it was closed. He was the only thing that could make me smile right now, with my hometown and my best friends behind me where I’ll never see them again.
I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and I tried my best to reach past Jack to get it. When I finally got it out of my pocket, I saw it’s a text from Amy and shoved it back in my pocket. I didn’t want to be that ass that abandons his best friends when he moves, but I honestly didn’t want to talk to Amy at that point. It would only make the pain of leaving worse.

After a four hour drive, we finally arrived in a small town in New Jersey. It looked so boring. Like one of those typical American towns where everyone knows everyone and the whole town are just soccer moms and busy dads and good kids. Ah, yes, I’m gonna fit in great here.
We stopped in front of a one story house that looked just as boring as the rest of the town and I realized that this would be my home for the next year. I sighed, put Jack on a leash and opened the car door. He immediately jumped out and I had to hold him back from running across the street. My mom already went down here a couple of times while I was at my dad’s, so most of our stuff is already here. At least I wouldn’t have to carry all that furniture.
“Hey, Linda!” I heard a male voice come from the other side of the street. “Hello Joe!” My mom shakes his hand. “I see you finally moved. This must be Frank, right?” Okay how does he know my name? Why does he know my mom? “Oh yeah right. Frank, this is Joe, our neighbor. He helped me move the furniture while I was here. And he has a son your age.” My mom explained. “Nice to meet you.” Joe shook my hand. “Uh…hi.” I managed to stutter out. “Frank, why don’t you take the dogs inside?” “Um okay.” I started dragging Jack, who was excitedly sniffing Joe’s pants, behind me. “Come on Ruthie!” She didn’t need a leash because she didn’t go everywhere, unlike Jack. She only followed me, and sometimes mom.
We stepped into the house, which was nice, but all of our furniture felt weird and misplaced in it. I just hoped my room wouldn’t be like it. My mom said I can have the basement for my room and that was quite possibly the only thing I was excited about. I walked down the stairs and found myself on a short corridor, one door on the left and two on the right. I checked the right two doors first but there were just boilers and a laundry room. I opened the left door and found myself in my room. It was quite nice actually, but empty. I only had an empty bookshelf, a desk, a wardrobe and a bed with a bare mattress. There were some small windows at the top and a door, which then turned out to lead to a small bathroom. “Stay here.” I ordered Jack and Ruthie and went upstairs to get some boxes with my stuff. “Frank, Joe invited us for lunch this Sunday.” My mom said when I opened the car trunk. “Okay, cool.” I shrugged and two boxes, containing my clothes out of the car. “You could meet his son Alan. He’s going to the same school as you are.” “Awesome.” I said. I really wasn’t in for any lunches but if it made my mom happy, then okay.

After the entire day of unpacking, my new room finally felt at least a little bit more at home, but still weird. I finally decided to check Amy’s text.
FROM Amy (11:08): Hey, we miss you already. But we miss your dogs more ;)
FROM Amy (11: 12): I know you’re ignoring my text, you asshole.
TO Amy (22:44): Sorry, I was busy unpacking. This place is the most cliché hole in America. Did you speak to Josh?
I got her reply almost immediately.
FROM Amy (22:45): We’ll save you. Yes we talked today. He misses you too, but he doesn’t want to admit it.
TO Amy (22:45): Understandable. Bro code.
FROM Amy (22:46): I’ve been friends with you since preschool and I still don’t understand your bro code thing.
TO Amy (22:46): It’s a thing guys have so they don’t turn out gay.
FROM Amy (22:46): That’s the part I don’t understand, because you are gay.
TO Amy (22:47): Good argument. Bro code is stupid.
FROM Amy (22:47): Frank Iero finally said something smart. You up for a skype call with me and Josh?
TO Amy (22:47): Sure why not.
I took out my laptop and turned it on. I was excited to talk to the two of my best friends, but that would only make me miss them more. I still called them.
We talked for about two hours and then they had to hang up because they had school tomorrow. Here, school started next week and I hated to admit but I was terrified of it. I was so angry at my mom when she said I’ll be going to Christian school because I’m an atheist, but she told me that’s the only school in this town. I can’t wait to get suspended because of the way I look.

@ThatPolarBear
it's a phan (dan howell and phil lester) fanfiction and it's actually good but let's just say
it's the first time I've ever wanted to murder phil.

@petewentztheemogod
For one week and I know it's a short time but I really wanted to write it and then I realized that one week is too short to start dating someone so that's one of the reasons why I did the gee ignoring frank thing.
Also I haven't read that one yet, is it good?
