"Gerard!" I call after him as he walks out the front door.

"Leave me alone." Gerard says, walking away.

"No Gerard, we need to talk about this!" I call out, tears streaming down my face.

"There is nothing to talk about!" Gerard growls furiously.

"You're hurting me!" I shout through the middle of the street.

"How the fuck am I hurting you?" Gerard asks incredulously.

"You're hurting me by hurting yourself." I whisper as Gerard steps towards me.

"Vanya, I don't know why you've stuck around as long as you have, but I swear, some day I will have the courage to end this all and I will stop the pain." he promises, staring me dead in the eye.

"I'll go." I whisper hoarsely.


"Go where?" Gerard asks as confusion sweeps over his features.

"If you die, I die too." I say more firmly.

"Then go get the gun out of my dresser, we're going to play a game." he mumbles.
