Gerard's P.O.V.

"It's going to be okay, Vanya." I whispered, not just to make her feel better, but I felt like if I heard it myself I would believe it.
"Gerard? What should we do?"
"Did you tell Charlotte?"
"No, you're the only one who knows."
"........."
"Gerard? What is it?"
"Nothing." I heard my voice crack.
Just then, my brother Mikey comes bounding in with a huge smile on his face.
"Hey Ger-rard! Hey Vanya!" he exclaims, then he sees us crying.
"Mikey..." Vanya starts, but she chokes on her words.
"Mikey, Vanya has cancer."
Mikey's face goes blank, and then he breaks down with us, "It has to be a mistake!" he wails.
"No, Mikey, it's not." Vanya mumbles.
Mikey's frowns and he balls his hands into fists.
"Whats wrong?" I ask.
"I....I just have to go do something."
"Mikey! Wait!" I protest, but he's already out the door."

Okay, the reason that I write such short chapters is that my computer lags horribly and Ive had to rewrite this chapter like 10 times, so I keep it short in case my computer crashes...but you've gotta admit that it keeps the story suspenceful!
