Bullet-Proof Heart
I'd ask you to be true. (Part 2)
Vanya's P.O.V
Charlotte was here in a matter of seconds. She runs to me and hugs me tight.
"I heard that you were in the hospital. Is everything alright?" she asks worried.
"I was just faint, lack of sleep." I try to assure her.
"Oh ok," she says relieved, "Where is Gerard?"
"He had some errands to run."
"Where is Mikey?"
"Umm...I'm not sure."
"Oh." I watch as Charlotte's face falls.
"Charlotte!"
"What?"
"Does someone have a crush on Mikey?"
"Oh, um, no way."
"Yes Way."
"Shut up."
"You do!" I gush.
Charlotte's face turns red, "Okay, maybe just a little."
"I'm gunna tell him all about you."
"You better not Vanya!"
We laugh and talk like this for an hour. It feels great, though I feel bad about lying to her and Gerard about my cancer. I just don't want things to change, for them to treat me differently.

Gerard's P.O.V
I was just driving around aimlessly when I drove past the hospital. I pull into the parking lot and head inside, to pick up Vanya's perscription. I walk up to the front desk which is run by some nurse.
"Hello, can I help you?" she asks.
"Um, I need to pick up a perscription."
"Name?"
"Vanya."
"Oh, yes. She was here yesterday. Give me a moment. I need to run in the back and get it."
I nod my head slightly when I hear someone call my name.
"Ah, Mr. Way!"
"Oh hello Doctor..."
"Jones. Dr. Jones."
"Right."
"What are you doing here? Is Vanya alright?"
"Oh, she's fine. I'm just picking up her perscription."
"Oh, okay then. I was worried that her cancer was getting worse."
"C-cancer? You must be mistaking her for someone else. She was just faint from lack of sleep and stress."
"Oh...she must not have told you. SHe has a very rare case of cancer. It doesn't have a cure yet, and we are not sure of how long she has left. It could spread to her heart at any moment. In fact, I suggest you make an appointment so I can see how bad it is and maybe put her on treatment." Dr. Jones says sympathetically.
"Here's the medication sir." the nurse says handing me the small bottle of pills.
I stand there, frozen in place and stunned. How could Vanya not have told me? I saunter out of the hospital, thoughts and memories flying around in my head. I sit alone in my car and for the second time today, I begin to cry.

I'd be cool with it if you'd post links to the new chapters here...
