It's all tøø real

I hummed softly as I made pancakes.
Gerard's favorite.
I smiled wide as I placed two pancakes each on two plates setting them on the table. I then heard a knock at the door and quickly tip toed over opening it to reveal a smiling Mikey.
He's been coming over a lot more since the engagement, but he never speaks to Gerard, and anytime I even bring him up he gives me the same pained look. I wonder if they got into a fight just didn't tell me. Why wouldn't Gerard tell me?
Mikey laughed snapping me out of my thoughts

"Hey man! You gonna let me in?"

"Yeah! of course!" I chuckled as I stepped out of the doorway allowing him in.

"Ah I see you were already expecting me!" He laughed gesturing to the two plates of pancakes.

"Oh those are for me and Gerard but you can have mine I'm not really hungry."
Fuck why'd i mention Gerard?
I've always tried to stop myself from talking about Gerard around Mikey, considering how upset he gets at the mention of Gerard.
I looked up being met with the same pained look Mikey had given me many times before. I sighed running over to the table grabbing my plate of pancakes passing it over to Mikey, in attempt to break the unbearable tension.

"So Frank!" He finally spoke up

"How have you been lately? Have you been feeling okay?" His eyes filled with concern but he kept his warm smile.

"I've been pretty great! But I did have this terrible dream last night.." I mumbled out the last part.

Mikey turned his head slightly to the side, "What happened in the dream?"

I let out a shaky chuckle, "Um it's weird, well, uh Gerard got hit by a car, and it was just really scary."

Mikey looked over at me sadly, "Awe come here Frankie." He said softly opening up his arms.

I smiled weakly as I gently placed my head on his chest, wrapping my arms around him.

Miley get to rubbed my back, "That must've been terrifying I'm sorry you had to go through the that."

I nodded slightly, "It was, but Thankfully Gerard calmed me down pretty quick."
Fuck.
Of course I had to being him up again

I looked up slightly expecting to see the same look once again, but instead his smile dropped for just a split second but then he quickly smiled once again but I could see the pain in his eyes. Fuck I wish I knew what happened between them, but there's no way I'm going to ask he's already upset and I didn't want to bring up any bad memories.

I cleared my throat slightly before sitting back in my seat, "How have you been lately Mikey? I can see you're growing out your facial hair a little it looks good on you!" I said happily breaking the painful silence

His eyes lit up and he smiled for what seemed like the first real one since I mentioned Gerard

"Things have been amazing! I proposed to Kristin! She said yes and we're getting married next year!!"

I jumped up hugging him tightly "oh my god Mikey! Congrats man!!" He chuckled hugging back just as tight

"Yeah! I was actually wondering if you would be my best man"

"Fuck yeah I'll be your best man!!" I practically screamed out.

Mikey laughed hard "Awesome!! Thank you so much Frank!!"

I smiled warmly back and we fell into a comfortable silence I haven't seen Mikey this happy in months. It was silent for just a couple more minutes before I heard the stairs creak .
I quickly turned my attention to the stairs where I saw my sweet Gerard in his sleep pants yawning softly.
I got up quickly grabbing his plate running it up to him. I always loved surprising him especially with pancakes but before I could say anything to him I heard Mikey clear his throat uncomfortably. I turned to look at him his eyes were filled with tears. Fuck

"I-i have to go. I'm so sorry. I'll be back tomorrow to check up on you Frankie."

He quickly got up and practically ran out of the house.

Hey you guys sorry it's another short chapter I had more and it would've been longer but the website wiped it clean after I spent two hours on it but it's all good I'm pretty happy with how this chapter turned out hopefully it'll all come together soon.
