Save Yourself

Rebellions poured through the entrance and into the cave. Hundreds of them moved together, coming down in a large black and purple wave. They were moving in separate formations like a well organized army. From down in the cave, it was an extremely intimidating sight.

The people of Una watched them and fear clung to them. They had no idea that the Rebellions were that many. Gerard watched as the scene unfolded and he ran forward.

“Okay, I get it!” he shouted over everyone’s heads. “They’re more than we are and they think they look all dark and scary in those Halloween costumes, but we’re ready for this! You’ve trained hard and you have something they don’t… You’re fighting for a good cause. You’re not fighting for yourself, but for your friends and family. You’re fighting for Una. So what do you say we kick some Rebellion butt??”

A loud cheer erupted from everyone and the fighters charged at the Rebellions. All hell broke loose as everywhere bodies collided and the battle began.

Gabby hurriedly found her dark-haired partner and as she shot water towards their opponents, he froze it, ice-blocks hitting the oncoming Rebellions. They took the Rebellions down one by one. Angry cries sounded from them and more came charging in their direction.

A few feet away the blonde girl Mikey had trained with was throwing boulders at the hooded figures and she sent several more of them flying in all directions. She wasn’t holding back and a smile spread across her face at the satisfaction of kicking their butts exactly like Gerard said.

Mikey sent force fields flying towards groups of Rebellions while ten clones of Erin attacked them head on. Gerard’s invisible figure moved around, attacking Rebellions as well.
Ashley stood on a large rock, raining fire balls down on the black and purple bodies.
A short distance to her left, a large tiger was ripping apart more Rebellions.

Everything seemed to be going well until another strong gust of wind came through, knocking half of the people fighting to the ground. Clones went flying back, Ashley hit the wall behind her and not even Mikey’s force field could protect him. In that instant, the entire stance of the battle changed.

Rebellions charged with angry, determined cries. The dark hordes swooped down on the people of Una, quickly and easily overpowering them.

Bob was smashing heads and pounding them into the ground left and right, but he couldn’t keep up. There were just too many of them. Before they could bear down on him, a rain of fire came down on them, instantly killing a handful of them. He looked up at Ashley and shot her a grateful smile before he continued killing Rebellions.

Rae lowered down to the ground and picked up an injured person, hurriedly taking him to the medical squad. Frank was also running to and fro at the speed of light carrying injured bodies from the battle field. The other guy flying around also had his hands full. People were going down one by one and the numbers of Una’s defenses were dwindling rapidly. The medical squad tried their best to attend to everyone, but it was simply impossible. The fact that the Rebellions had them trapped was of no help either. They had no other choice but to keep fighting, because they had nowhere to run or hide. Arin was right when he said that it was impossible to win if they got caught down here.

The Rebellion controlling the wind was slamming around as many bodies as Sarah was.
Erin conjured up several more clones as the others perished and sent them running towards her attackers. It was no use though and they quickly advanced on her. Suddenly Mikey was next to her and he placed his hands on the ground sending vibrations through it. The ground shook and crumbled under the advancing Rebellions.

“Thanks a lot, Mikey!” Erin exclaimed, hugging him tightly.

“Okay, yeah,” he said a little uncomfortable. “Don’t lose focus.”

With that he sent a force field to his left as a Rebellion stormed at him. The blonde girl nodded and conjured up clones to take up the right. A purple shape suddenly appeared in front of her at an immense speed and knocked her off her feet. She flew back into Mikey, both of them crashing to the ground. About twenty Rebellions had already moved in on them before they could get back to their feet. Mikey’s force field was their last hope at defense.

Gabby and her partner were also surrounded by Rebellions, but the pair had put up a thick wall of ice around them to keep the hordes away. In their current position, they couldn’t attack though.

The Rebellion noticed the male flying overhead and helping the injured people and it sent a strong wind towards him, instantly knocking him out of the air.

Bob was still putting up a fierce fight when a body crashed to the ground next to him. His eyes grew wide in horror when he saw that it was Ashley.

“Ashley! Fuck!” he swore loudly.

He couldn’t stop to make sure that she’s okay either, because they were still surrounded by Rebellions. He had to keep punching through them in order to keep them from getting to her. He knew that he wouldn’t be able to keep up at this pace much longer though.

Tatiana was also fighting a losing battle and she was just about to retreat in flight when a Rebellion grabbed her from behind.

All over the battlefield the people of Una were losing. Everything would be over in a matter of minutes at this rate.
