Sheets of rain poured down heavily from the sky. Gerard concentrated hard on the road as the windshield wipers fought a losing battle against the never ending drenches. His younger sister sat next to him, turned around in her seat, talking animatedly to her boyfriend in the backseat. The green traffic light was barely visible through the downpour.
