Boarder Line Badass

Chapter 5

~Haylee’s POV~

The four of us made our way back to our room, the receptionist stopped Bella and I to give us our keys. We took them and saw how she glared as we walked away. What got up her bloomers? She raised an eye brow and squinted her eyes in shock. Guess I said that out loud? Oops. Bella giggled as she pulled me up the stairs to catch up with Blair and Shannon. They were already inside and the door was left ajar. We pushed it open to see the girls lounging on their beds.

“So what do we do now?” Bella asked.

“Well we don’t have lessons because it’s weekend. Dinner is in an hour and once dinner is finished we will come back here to sort out our outfits and shower. The grannies will come to tell us it’s ‘bedtime’ and then we sneak out through the window.” Blair smirked as she finished.

“The window?” I asked

“Benefits of having a room with a balcony.” Shannon said excitedly, turning to high five Blair. “I guess we should tell you more about the boy Boarding School?” We nodded in response taking our seats on my bed. “These schools were once homes 200 years ago. This one was owned by a rich couple who had twin babies together. Throughout their young lives Jack and Luke competed over everything. Once they reached 19, their parents died and Jack inherited the house because he was two minutes older than Luke.” Shannon finished and Blair took over,

“Luke was jealous and fought with Jack who banished him, it was only to show off his power. Luke wanted to also prove himself worthy so he gathered 5 of his friends and resources and built a building that was the mirror to his brother’s mansion. Jack was fuming that his brother had disobeyed his banishment and they met in the barns. Where they both killed each other.” Blair grinned as she finished the story. Our mouths hung open.

“We have a large portrait of Jack in the dining hall. The boys have one of Luke in theirs. It’s quite funny really.”

“So we’re going to barn which is potentially haunted with the ghosts of two arse holes who had nothing better do than fight over a house?” I asked with my eye brow raised.

“Basically.” The two girls both said in sync.

“Awesome. And now it’s filled with boys?” Bella asked. And they both nodded in response. I was just about to speak when a large bell sounded from downstairs,

“Dinners ready!” Blair screamed and we all ran to the door.

Once again we were in the large dining room. Blair pointed to a massive painting in the corner, a muscular young man in blue uniform stood proud. His blonde hair was ruffled and his brown eyes pierced through everyone in the hall. He was quite attractive though I can’t say the same for his personality.

A blonde girl strutted towards the front of the queue. Barging in front of us.

“I’ve always wanted the invisibility cloak from Harry Potter, clearly we don’t need one because some people can’t see we are clearly already in the line.” Blair said, her hands on her hips.

“Wow, you can actually talk. I thought you were mute.”

“And I thought you were natural. Now we are both surprised.” We all snickered after Blair’s comment.

“That, was bloody brilliant.” Bella squealed and pushed us all further up the queue where the other students and dinner ladies were watching in awe. They basically threw our plates on the trays and watched as we shuffled over to a small table in the corner. For school food it wasn’t so bad, I couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable when I felt that Jack’s painted eyes were watching us eat.

After dinner we all showered and picked our outfits. We all wore dresses apart from Shannon who stuck to a pair of black jeans and a casual t-shirt. Bella wore a two piece dress and Blair wore a tight knee length blue dress. Mine was black and tight until the waist where it went all puffy. We did each other’s make up and hair and at precisely 9:55 we were ready to go.

“We need to get into bed with our dressing gowns on and turn out the light.” Blair whispered. We could hear a teacher screaming at some girls to say it was bed time and their pleas to allow them to stay up for a few more minutes. We all rolled our eyes at their childishness. Soon came the knock at our door.

“Sssshhh.” Shannon whispered. The door opened and a few seconds later closed again. We shot up and removed the dressings gowns, placing them in our beds to make them look like us. Blair opened the balcony windows and went to the edge.

“Blair! What are you doing?!” We will fail especially seeing as we are wearing heels.” Bella hissed.

“How I love Gordon.” Blair ignored the question, and we looked at each other puzzled.

“Gordon is the groundsman.” Shannon replied, smiling at our confusion. We made the ‘oh’ face and watched Blair remove her shoes and climb onto a ladder that was situated at the side of the balcony. She climbed down slowly followed by me, Bella and finally Shannon who closed the doors after we left. The gravel was difficult to walk on in heels but Blair led the way.

“I’m not sure about this, guys. I don’t want to get into trouble.” Shannon cried.

“Loosen up Shan.” Blair whispered, the grin on her face could be heard as she spoke. Finally we reached two large wooden doors, I glanced back at the school, only a few lights were on and they lit up the downstairs. A creak reminded me of the situation and as I turned to face what was in front of me a loud cheer came from inside.
