Boarder Line Badass
Chapter 11
Haylee's POV
"My hands feel like they're drowning in sweat." Shannon grumbled, rubbing her clammy hands against her legs. We grimaced at the thought but it wasn't any of our voices that came next,
"Ew, gross." Kelsey gagged and strutted up behind us. Blair rolled her eyes,
"Says the person who has more product in her hair than on the actual shelves." She smirked and turned to face Mrs Forbs who appeared at the stage. The teacher flustered with her notes nervously. Kelsey knelt down to our level until she was so close we could feel her breath on our faces,
"I hope you all get stuck with some spotty, greasy haired nerd."
"So do I." I replied, shooing her away with my hand. She sternly looked down her nose at me before marching off to her seat.
"Lets just get this over with." Bella muttered, we all sighed frustratingly.
"Now, now girls. Settle down!" Mrs Forbs tried to shout but everyone was too excited at the fact there were boys coming to our school.
"Girls!" She tried again but to no avail. Her temper was clearly rising from the pink tint appearing on her cheeks or perhaps the stamping of her miniature heels on the floor.
"GUYS!" Blair was standing on her chair, screaming at our peers. They all stopped suddenly and turned to face her.
"Typical goodie goodie." Kelsey said smugly, resulting in a middle finger from Blair.
"Thank you Blair, that wasn't necessary. I clearly had it under control."
"Clearly." I said in sync with the other three. Suddenly, there was the sound of a throat clearing. We all turned to face a bald man with a thick moustache covering his top lip and finishing at the sides of his slug like mouth.
"Ah, Mr Hallyway." Mrs Forbs said sickly. I made a disgusted face as she rushed over to greet him, her awful attempt at flirting was obvious. There was a rumble of cheers and voices in the reception and outside. The next thing I knew, every girl in our year had there noses pressed against the windows, staring at the couple of hundred boys. I'm sure we would have tried to take a glance as well, had it not been for the other scrambling girls.
"Excuse me! Can you take your seats please?!" Mrs Forbs had returned from her little 'chat' and surprisingly managed to have full control. The girls took their seats willingly and watched as the teachers began letting us go in rows to find our partners. Finally, it was our turn.
"Right ladies, just go out through the doors and give Mr Hallyway your names, he'll show you your partners." She gave us a wide grin of which we forcedly returned, and made our way to the exit.
"And you are?" The man asked us with an intimidating look. Shannon went first,
"I'm Shannon Taylor." She said, arranging her already wild hair. The man pointed down the list until he found her name.
"You're with Marty O'Callah, he's over there with the blue bag." Shannon nodded and began walking over to the group of boys.
"Shann!" Blair called, "He's one of my friends."
"Okay." She seemed to relax a little bit.
"And who might you be?" The man asked Blair.
"Blair Waldorf." Blair said, tightening her bag on her shoulders.
"You're with Andrew. He's over there with the boy with the blonde streak in his hair."
"Great." She replied and gave us an annoyed look.
"I'm Bella."
"Bella, you're with Gerard Way." Bella turned to me with wild eyes. I gave her a thumbs up and watched her try to find words.
"He's ove-."
"It's okay, I see him." Bella began walking to the slouched boy who was standing alone in the corner, looking fearful of his life. When Bella reached him, a shy smile appeared on his face and he awkwardly slipped his hands into his pockets.
"I'm Haylee." I said and he nodded, then he looked up and didn't remove his eyes from me. I gave him a 'what are you looking at' stare.
"Uh, you're over there with um, Cameron Dallas." He rubbed the back of his neck. I groaned loudly, and wandered off in the direction of a group of boys I assumed he would be in.
The group made way for me as I pushed through all of them and stood directly in the middle. "Ah, little cupcake." Someone announced I spun round to face a smirking Cameron.
"Whose partner is yours?" He asked with a grin. The boys around me were checking me out. One in particular was getting way too close for comfort. "Get out of my face before I slap you so hard you wont be able to shave for a month. And judging by your beard, you'll need it because there are pubes growing on your face." I turned away from the blushing boy and the roaring group. Cameron was studying me with a thoughtful look,
"You are meant to be looking at books, not my face." I said to him, causing more laughter. He scoffed, "Are you going to tell me your partner, cupcake? Or not?"
"I think it might be you." I said, pointing to a boy with short black hair, he ruffled his hair and began to walk towards me.
"Actually, maybe it's not." The boy frowned and returned to his original position. I gradually made my way along the boys, giving each the same treatment. I could see a nerve in Cameron's cheek ticking, his fists clenching and un-clenching with every boy I spoke to.
"Just say who you're fucking with!" He growled.
"Excuse me, I'm not taking part in sexual acts with anyone!" I grinned as he rolled his eyes.
"You know what I meant."
"Would you stop whining if I told you that you were my partner?" His expression remained and he grabbed my bag, pulling me away from his friends. I waved smugly at them,
"You. Are. Infuriating." He snarled but I could see amusement in his brown eyes.
"I know." I said, the humour still showing on my face.

Blair's POV
"So you're the famous Blair?" Andy asked, trying to make eye contact with me.
"I guess I am." I replied, checking on my friends to see who their partners were.
"You know, this is going to be a long few weeks if you don't even look at me."
"Uh, like I want anything to do with you!" I said and felt no regret as a shocked expression appeared on his face.
"You know that wasn't my fault." He hissed, holding my arm. I laughed at his comment,
"I've heard it all now." Then shaking my arm out of his grip. Andy shook his head and walked out of the school without another word.
Shannon's POV
"So you're one of Blair's friends?" Marty asked me, I nodded. "She's pretty awesome." I nodded again,
"Do you talk?"
"Of course I talk you peanut! I'm just a bit awkward sometimes." He chuckled and walked towards a seat in the reception.
"Yeah I'm like that sometimes." I smiled at his scruffy hair and big blue eyes.
"So, do you have any idea what we're doing?"
"Reading, that's all I know." He chuckled again,
"Great, we'll be good partners." I smiled and stuck out my hand,
"I'm Shannon, in case you didn't know."
"I didn't, and great to meet you. I'm Marty O' Callah." He said in a fake posh voice, shaking my hand firmly and correcting his posture to a tall, one leg over the other position. We both laughed, until I saw Andy looking at me out of the corner of my eye.
