Boarder Line Badass

~Shannon's POV~

"Its good to be back." I sighed, after I had lugged my bin bag of things up to our room.

"You say that." Haylee began. "But you missed three bits of homework and 2 essays, so consider yourself lucky."

"Yeah those essays were not fun." Bella added, as she lay on her bed.

"Because picking up rubbish is so fun!" I exclaimed, tipping the contents of the bag on my bed. "Even if you have Mr hotty to help you." I muttered, shifting through my things.

"Umm, what was tHAT?!" Blair demanded, picking up on my confession instantly.

"Nothing." I shrugged.

"Spill."

"Spill what?" Bella asked.

"Shannon met someone." Blair squealed causing the other girls to squeal also.

"I really need to catch up on American Horror Story."

"Evan Peters can wait." Haylee insisted, shutting my laptop that I had only just opened.

"Fine, there was a boy from the other School also being punished and we hung out." I admitted, shrugging yet again; It was no big deal.

"This is such a big deal!" Blair announced. I mentally face palmed.

"Umm, why?"

"Because you never like anyone except celebrities who are way to old for you, you have to point this guy out!" "Will do." I said, as I turned my laptop back on. The girls began discussing mine and Andy's wedding and I focused on my laptop. But I couldn't help a little blush forming on my cheeks.

"Quiet now girls!" Mrs Forbs called out to us as we sat in on the scratchy plastic chairs. We were in assembly; A pointless thing that we had to attend every week. "We have exciting news." Me and Blair shared a bored look, 'exciting'. "We have begun a programme called 'Book Buddies' and you may think what does this mean for you?" Nope didn't think that. "Well we have teamed up with our friends across the field and each of you will get a partner from their school to work on this project." Wait. What. Now we definitely weren't being quiet. The hall erupted into noise. We were going to work with the boys?!

"Guys is this actually happening?!" Haylee hissed.

"I actually think it is." Blair breathed looking around. "I'm so glad we didn't ditch this assembly."

"Now now girls settle down. They'll be more information on the programme soon." Me and they guys began conversing excitedly as the teachers began dismissing the girls from the hall. When we were out of there I realised that I had Maths and the rest of the girls had English. Guess thats what I get for actually enjoying Maths.

"See you guys!" I yelled as I went in the opposite direction. This book buddies would be an interesting programme. A part of me hoped that I would be with my Brother or one of his friends to avoid awkward times with the opposite sex but another part wanted me to be paired with Andy.

Andy. "Andy?!" I asked out loud as I saw the boy disappearing round the corner. I ran after him calling. "Andy wait!" I caught up to him and grabbed his arm turning him to face me. He was holding some sort of package.

"Shannon." He mumbled, his features softening.

"Why are you at this School?" I asked, looking up into his eyes.

"I have to go." He murmured, beginning to turn away.

"Wait, I'll go with you."

"No."

"No? Wait why." He turned to face me his expression a lot harder now "Stay away from me Shannon. I'm bad news." And then he left. Feeling confused and alone I made my way to Maths.
