Don't Do It

"Frank!" I heard Gerard yell from the living room. I walked in and looked at him.
"You forgot to vaccum!" He pointed to the carpet.
"Oh sorry" He threw his hands up in frustration.
"God, you're so fucking useless. Why do you even bother living?" I looked at him speechless. He walked towards me and grabbed the collar of my shirt.
"If you ever screw up again. You'll be gone" He growled and I nodded slowly. He raised his hand and slapped me. I was used to him yelling at me but he never slapped me. I felt tears form in my eyes. He sighed and walked into the kitchen. I wiped my eyes and walked into my room. I dialed Ray's number and waited for him to answer.

"Hey Frank. What's up?"
"Hey Ray"
"Are you alright?"
"Do you think I should quit my job?"
"Yes. Why? What happened?"
"He slapped me"
"Fuck. Quit right now"
"Tomorow. He's really angry righ now"
"Okay. Call me tomorrow"
"I will, bye"
"Bye" I hung up and threw the phone on the bed.

"Frank, can you come here please" I walked out and saw him sitting on the sofa.
"I'm sorry I hit you. I shouldn't have done that" I was surprised that he's apologizing.
"I..it's ok" He nodded and looked up.
"I need you to get my dry cleaning tomorrow"
"Ok, I will" He smiled and stood up. I walked back into my room and sat down. He's being nice. That was a surprise. I lay down and stared at the ceiling. Even though he hit me I still liked him. It's weird, no matter what he does. I always like him.
