Sick of losing soulmates

Chapter 1 (G)

Everyone has pre-arranged soulmates. There is one for each person, and that will never change. We are born with the name of our soul mate in printed just below our left collarbone in a way that indents it into our skin, and we are introduced to that person at the age of 16.
My soulmate died when I was fourteen years old, her name was LindseyAnn Ballato. I never got to meet her, and the car accident that took her life, insured that I never would.

The death of a soul mate fractures a soul in fact, it is said that once a soul mate is lost, one's soul is beyond repair. My name is Gerard Way, and I healed my soul.

At first, I was depressed. I locked myself in my room and refused to eat, sleep, or speak. Eventually, I got to thinking and it occurred to me that I still had my will. I had a will to live, to continue with my life. So I rebuilt myself. I started small, talking to my brother and parents, accepting phone calls and ordering the occasional pizza.I drew and sang, writing my own music. I had been excused from education. No one who has lost a soul mate ever amounts to anything.

When I was seventeen, I went outside. My brother Mikey and I walked to the park, talking about music and life and everything in between. On the way home, I even agreed to stop by the starbucks, my love for coffee outweighing my fear of social interaction in my emotionally vulnerable state. In the coffee shop, people stared at me. I sported the slumped figure of a single soul, and everyone could tell. Mikey and I got our drinks, ignoring the onlookers, and went home.

That was the day that Lindsey's name started to fade.

as months wore on and my eighteenth birthday approached, I went places more often. The imprint on my collar bone was almost gone, and no one had ever seen anything quite like it. I was talking to people outside of my family again, and I didn't attract as many stares as I used to as I walked down the street. The day after the mark disappeared completely, I met Frank.

I'm still here on the site, though not as often as before. If you decide to continue it I'll definitely read it. Congrats on becoming a senior! It's a pretty special year and I think you should make the most of it <3 Senior year was one of the best school years I ever had (8th grade being the absolute best) and I hope you can enjoy yours. Glad to hear from you and know that you're okay.
Btw, I'm a Griffindor. My mom is a Ravenclaw, my brother is a Hufflepuff, and my husband is a Slytherin so we're a complete set!

Yes, continue this!
