Mr. Way - Frerard

I sat in my classroom, waiting for Frank to appear. He was later than usual today, but I tried not to worry. It’s not like he would blow me off or anything.

I heard the fast-paced footsteps of someone running outside. I considered it just to be kids fooling around, but when Frank showed up at my door with tears streaming down his face, I leaped up from my seat.

“Baby, what happened?” I asked, embracing him and cradling his head with my hand.

“Bullies – they found the letter – taking it to the principle,” he gasped out. My heart plummeted, dropped straight down towards the centre of the earth.

“Oh my god,” was all I could manage.

“Gee… Gee, what are we going to do?” he sobbed.

“I-I don’t know, Frankie,” I said quietly, tears now flowing down my face too.

“We can go, Gee, we can run away. We’ll take Bandit, start a new life somewhere-“

“Frank, I don’t want to get in any trouble. Just let them take me. Tell them it was all me, you didn’t love me back. Tell them I was harassing you. It’s the only was I can protect you,” I cried.

“But we’ll never see each other again! Don’t you love me, Gerard? Don’t you?” he looked me in the eye, and in that moment, looking into the captivating eyes of the person I loved, I would agree to anything, anything, that meant I could be with Frank. So I agreed to his plan.
