*GASP* it's blurry but I know I'm in my room “Oww! My chest burns!” there was a man kneeling over me, his face pulling further away from mine.
“You're alright. The paramedics will be here shortly, what is you're name?”
“Gerard, where is my mama?” the man gave me a sad look.
“Well son...she's dead.” what?
“How did she die?” I ask
“When we found you and your mother she was holding you under water, we warned her, but she refused to stop. You were near death so we tried to pull her away, she pulled out a knife and began to attack us so we had to shoot.” dead? My mama is dead, no that can't be.
“But you were supposed to help! This is not helping! You hurt my mama!” I'm sobbing now “I want my mama! Mama!” the man tries putting his arms round me to pull me into a hug, but I push his arms away “My mama was right, people do make you sad.”
He took me outside and after a while the perametis? Permedis? Arrived they sat me in their big white van that was full of tubes and liquid and sharp, pointy things. This one lady put a metal circle thing on my chest, it was connected to her ears.
“Are you 9-1-1?” I'm just about done crying.
“Kind of, 9-1-1 is just a general term for emergency contacts.”
“Oh” I have no idea what that means. “so then what is your name?”
“Donna” the lady smile at me
“Do you have a last name?” she's done
“Of course I do everyone does.” she places her arms on her hips
“I don't...what's your last name?”
“Way. I'm Donna Way.” she smiles at me again, why is she so happy someone died today. “Gerard? I was told you don't go to school, is that true?”
“Yeah.”
“Oh that's too bad I bet you'd be very good at it.” I don't know why but this made me smile

“Alright Gerard, the police seem to be done but there are some complications and we have to do some DNA checks.” don't know what dee-en-ay is.
“Why what happened?”
“Well we don't have a positive I.D on your parents and we're hoping to find a record on you.”
“Okay then.”
“Alright do you want to go with the police or with us?”
“You.” of course you, they killed my mama
“Okay get in the ambulance then.” ambulance? Does she mean the white van.” I get in and within minutes we arrive at the hospital
