The Light Behind Your Eyes

Over the next 2 weeks Mr Iero didn't talk to me at all. I didn't know what to do, I needed to speak to him but he kept avoiding me, until I saw him after school grading some papers.
I approached his door and knocked lightly.
"Come in." I walked through his door and stood there awkwardly.
"Please can I speak to you Sir?" I closed the door and walked towards his desk and sat in his chair.
"Is it about music?" He took a sip from some coffee and looked up questionably.
"N-no"
"Then that is your answer, no." He turned back to his papers.
"Please Sir, I really need to speak to you."
"I've already answered you, no" He snapped at me and I flinched.
"But why-"
"What we did was wrong okay? I've thought about it and I regret it as much as everything else."
"Y-you regret it?"
"Yes" He looked down again.
"So you don't like me?"
"No, I don't."
I felt myself welling up and ran as fast as I could back home. Do you know what it's like having your crush tell you they don't like you? Well it's like someones stuck their hand down your throat and pulled your heart out, but a million times worse.
Luckily when I got home Ray was always there with Mikey.

"Gee what's wrong?" Ray came and sat beside me.
"He said he didn't like me anymore." I broke down crying.
"Well that's bullshit." Ray started laughing.
"Wait, what?" Mikey tried chirping into the converstation but he didn't really have any imput.
"Have you seen the way he looks at you? When you're not in class he looks like a lost puppy. Seriously he's just saying that because it's the right thing to do, but I have an idea." Ray made me feel a lot better.
"What's the plan?" Yay, Mikey adventually got a chance to join in raising his eyebrows.
"We're going to dress Gee in drag." Mikey smiled at the idea.
"You've got to be kidding me.." I mean yeah I had worn drag before but there was no way I was going to wear it at school.
"He'll go crazy for you, it's so simple."
"I'm not wearing it to school"
"Well duh, we'll find out where he's going to be this weekend, wait no....I'll ask him to support me in the Music festival this weekend and you'll casually bump into him okay? But when you do you can't drop your guard." Mikey had already started looking at fashion catalogs.
"Fine, but I'm only doing it for you guys."

We spent 3 hours at the shopping mall trying on dresses and skirts. We adventually settled on a tight black mini skirt with black lacy tights, a tight red tank top with knee high, black boots, and according to Ray and Mikey I also need a thong to with it.....I thought didn't think Ineeded it but wasn't going to argue with them.


The next day the plan was in action for Ray to ask Mr Iero to come and support him in the town Music Festival....which he was obviously going to win by the way....after school Ray said the plan went smoothly and he said he couldn't wait to be there.

The day after Mikey and Ray were looking forwards to the festival....I on the other hand was sweating so much I needed a towel. Ray was busy rehearsing so Mikey helped get me ready.
"Now, when you see him you're going to drop your bag behind you, bend over revealing your G string the will be above your skirt and your top will roll up slightly."
"Mikes, I'm never going to remember that." This was getting so confusing.
"Well try." We'd finished dressing me Mikey put on my make up carefully. Just adding a bit of lip gloss, mascara, eyeshadow and eyeliner...that's a bigger list than i realised.
"All done,now lets go before we're late." He said while spraying perfume over me.

We got to the festival and were allowed backstage to be with Ray, he was getting ready to play and told us he'd look out for Mr Iero. I knew that Ray would rock it, he's literally one of the best people I know that can play the guitar. He went on stage and started to play 'Bullet With Butterfly Wings - by Smashing Pumpkins,that's one of my favourite songs and he played it pretty damn well.
