Pinkie Promise?

Frank Iero is 5 years old, Gerard Way is nine. They both go to the same elementary school. Gerard was out on the playground, sitting on a bench as he watched the other kids play. He preferred to be alone, not caring much for the old run down equipment the school let the children play on. Frank was sat on a swing, kicking his feet happily as he tried to get himself going. He was too small to reach the ground, huffing in annoyance because he couldn't get very high. A few older boys came over, sitting in the swings next to Frank, who was blissfully oblivious to them as he kicked his skinny legs trying to get going. "Hey, shorty, I want that swing. Get off so I can have it." One of them called, stepping infront of Frank. The first grader looked at him with wide eyes. "B-But I got here first." He protested, letting out a small noise of shock as the boy stopped his swing by grabbing the reins of it. "I said get off of it." The older boy said again, when Frank didn't get off the older boy pushed him off, laughing at the young boys 'oof' as he hit the ground. Gerard's eyes narrowed as he saw what the boys in his grade were doing to one of the younger boys. He stood up quickly, walking over with a frown. The boy was still on the ground, his hazel eyes brimming with tears that threatened to spill over any second. "Hey, what do you think you're doing?" Gerard questioned, one look at the boys from his grade sent them all running away. Gerard knelt infront of the boy, the kid looking up at him with wide doe-eyes. "Hey, are you alright?" He asked, the boy nodding slowly. "I'm Gerard..." he added. "I'm Frank." The boy mumbled, wiping his tears away. "Nice to meet you Frankie. You don't need to worry about them anymore, I'll talk to them." Gerard smiled. "Promise?" Frank asked quietly, holding out his pinkie to Gerard. Gerard linked pinkies with the small boy. "Pinkie promise."
